A full selection of gear for safer injection and safer sex, plus a respectful, generous, knowledgeable staff of volunteers. It's my most-used exchange.

I think they do a service to the community and beyond. Many of the up turned faces judge saying it's wrong and what they do here is a grind. A thankless job dealing with the task of helping out some very difficult and demanding people that many have abandoned and don't care about. A lot of volunteer hours go into their work and very few people simply say thank you for your service. Instead it's entitlement and give me this and give me that and ride remarks if they can't accommodate. So, PLEASE if you read this or you stop by take a second and say thank you and appreciate the service they do provide. This place does great work!!

I am really glad we have the needle exchange access right there on 6th st.(right after mission st.,, right before minna alley. Next to chicos pizza)... Love that they are open every day and they offer a lot more then just simple needle exchange.. . I come to get foil , as far as glassware, they give out bubbles , straight shooters, and hammers. Limited one each, per day.. staff is always respectful, knowledgeable, fast, and actually care... They don't get paid... fyi...My favorite by far is they're mobile needle exchange access, which is also m-f, a different location each day of the week

Staff is awesome and the best part is a person can volunteer to help out. This is so one can attain the frame of mind and sense of shame and despair most addiction victims suffer. This can help to reverse the ideals instilled in generational ignorance about how junkies are actually people just like you. That way you can have some sway when you see someone in a different light. #damnyouRegan

I started coming here about 9 years ago.It is a wonderful place that not only offerd a free needle exchange but on certain days they have a nurse specialist who has the power to write prescriptions for different ailments...they used to have a movie night where they served pizza and a beverage. [[I also remember the doors being open to you a lot more a while back and that is such a shame because when I was homeless it was a place where I could feel safe and comfortable When you are homeless you don't really get to just take a moment off.. if you sit down a cop will tell you to get up..you must constantly be in motion even if you have a tent ...you are always worried that ⁶another homeless person might steal it and your possessions are always at risk if a homeless person is]person doesn't take it the city workers might.its just stress after stress and I used to really appreciate the fact that I could go and hang out stress free and I learned about many programs that could potentially help me ...I guess what I am trying to say is that while I still like the place I miss how it was a few years back and the old crew of people that ran it.no offense to the newer workers it just seemed more of a welcoming atmosphere before.
