If you're picky and want stunning color, book an appointment with Krista S. Moving from a high-end downtown SF salon to West Portal, she is the reason why I go to this salon. Krista brings top-notch skills to our neighborhood here in West Portal. She excels at managing my thick, 70% grey hair, delivering stylish, cool-toned colors that look natural for a dark brunette (now going grey) like me. My hair tends to run on the warmer side and she's technically savvy when it comes to balancing and removing the brass. But what really makes visits special is her ability to make time fly by with her engaging personality. It's rare to find someone who combines professional expertise with such a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend booking an appointment with her for anyone seeking quality hair color. She is what makes my visits to this location a pleasant salon experience. *Heads up: booking online is done via Salon 815 but Krista works at Bloom. This can be confusing if you're new (that's on the owners not Krista) so just a heads up that when you get there go to Bloom and you'll love her!!!! Thanks Krista! P.S. After two visits to Salon 815, I have found the stylist who understands my hair and me. Krista Schiermeister is incredible. I had a exceptional experience with her and left feeling like a million bucks. I can't wait for my next appointment with her.

Barbara gave me a sweet medium bob this week, and it's just what I wanted! She has a sweet and welcoming demeanor. Upon my arrival, she showed me to my seat, and to where I can place my belongings. Then she washed my hair in a comforting warm temp (A+ for the hair wash, because she didn't tickle my ear w water nor did she splash water on my face). She's very detail oriented, and spent about an hour cutting my hair. She noticed the photo I gave her had bangs, which I'm not a fan of. So she gave me longer "curtain bangs" so I can achieve the look, and still be able to sweep it behind my ears and out of my face. After the haircut, Barbara even gave me tips on how to blow dry my hair so I can maintain the style! I'm very satisfied w my cut & so happy to have found my new hairdresser :)

Everybody's different, since I went to this salon based on good Yelp reviews. But unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience. I was kind of ordered around rather than being warmly welcomed, the hair wash was hurried and luke warm, and the hair cut was not skillfully done.

I truly couldn't recommend Ashley Ross at Salon 815 enough. I have baby fine blonde hair and have never found a stylist or colorist who understood my hair needs better than Ashley. She's clearly an expert, no BS, and so talented. Came to her for a second time for a partial and cut ahead of my wedding, and won't go to anyone else! Couldn't be happier!

Ashley gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had, and at a more reasonable price than other parts of the city. She’s smart, very capable, helps the client really understand what will look best on them, and is a true professional. Looking forward to seeing her again soon. Thanks Ashley!

I got my haircut with Janina and she's is so meticulous and great with scissor. I love my new haircut! Definitely coming back to see her again next time when I'm visiting the Bay!

I'm finally done with this place. They've screwed me over one too many times and now I'm done. I set up an appointment for 11:00am online and received a confirmation via text, which I then confirmed as well. This was a week ahead by the way. When I showed up they told me my appointment had been moved to 1:30pm, and that someone had called me. No one had called me! I received no other notification or text or phone call. They continued to claim someone had called and left a message, and tried to explain what happened, but it made no sense, and it didn't really matter anymore anyway. I wasn't going to wait 2-1/2 hours for an appointment that they say they changed and called me??!! This isn't the first time this happened either. So nope...done...

You know when you get a mani / pedi and can't stop looking at your nails? Yeah...that's me! I went to see Tina at 815 and she was awesome, funny and an amazing nail tech. We did dip Powder with almond shaped tips. Very fancy for this boy mom.

Not sure what happened, but my appointment was cancelled twice with no explanation. Is this place out of business? I certainly will not be going back. This is not the way to do business in a fragile retail environment.

I went in for a haircut having no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. Usually when that happened in the past I would end up playing safe by trimming ends and that was it! This time I got to discuss all the options with Ashley, she was extremely attentive and helpful despite the fact that it was the end of the day and I was late for my appointment. The haircut turned out beautiful, exactly what I needed!! I got so many compliments, will definitely back!
