An average sized Safeway near the 4th and Kings Cross train station where you will get your average share of groceries and more. Never too crowded. It is a well let store with knowledgeable staff who are friendly. It has a bakery and an alcohol section. Parking is available nearby. Recommended if you are anywhere nearby for picking up snacks, groceries, etc.

Checking out here is always chaos. The lanes back up into food isles and cut across a busy walkway. Besides that it’s a normal over priced grocery store.

Complaint About Restroom Access
Safeway Management,
I was denied access to the restroom at your store , causing significant inconvenience. Please reconsider this policy to improve customer experience. Why is it not possible to use restoom ? Is it collecting the people or customers ? Where is the human being’s right?

Sometimes they take a long time to open the liquor cabinet. Only one register in use line is long most days

This is a nice urban Safeway store, but they lose two stars for devoting so much space for their car parking garage, while bicyclists get nothing. Please install city-approved sheffield (staple) style bike racks on the sidewalk or inside the parking garage. This location should be equitably accommodating to transit riders, bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers.

You can easily wait 8 min in front of a locked shelve to buy toothpaste. No one comes up to open it. Just shop online seriously

Place has improved since they took out the self checkout and beefed up security

I used to enjoy shopping here but last night I was there and was attacked by a crazy old man! The security guard kicked me out!

The employee's were helpful and polite. They didn't make me feel like I was a thief, which is what usually happens to me when I walk into many stores these days, even though I don't steal, never have stolen, and never will steal from any store anywhere. So it was nice that they were so kind. Sorry had a bad day today running errands dealing with terrible security guards and their terrible judgement as to who was stealing and who wasn't today. Thank you Safeway.

PET OWNERS, STOP BRINGING YOUR NASTY DOGS INTO THE STORE. I'm not talking about patrons with actual needs for trained service animals to assist them in their lives, but every average bro and broette who brings their family pet to flop around the store shedding their hair in and around the produce area and down the aisles, please just leave your dog at home for the 20-30 minutes it takes you to get your groceries. The staff here are aware of the number of complaints about the increased volume of animals being brought into this store, yet they constantly say they can't do anything about it. You have a legal right to verify if an animal is a service animal but you refuse to do your jobs. I have brought this up to management multiple times yet they simply do not care. Witnessed a dog's body brush up against greens and herbs in the produce section today and employee standing right near it brushed it off and the so called manager Josue P. just brushed it off as well. This place is a health hazard and the employees don't give two cares about ensuring the health and safety of guests in the store. Happy to never spend another dime at this store or any Safeway affiliated location ever again.
