Great local place for natural wines! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They also have a fridge with some chilled wine for drinking in-house or to take home.

This is the worst wine shop I have ever been to. Spent 48$ on a bottle of wine that was suggested by the wine person in charge for a party with friends. It tasted like apple cider that went bad. Tried to return it and they told us to cook with it. Nice response.... Our friends said they stopped shopping there a while back because of the quality of the wines they carry.

The selection is great, it's a small shop, however, I've been going there for about 3 years regularly (2 to 3 times a month) and the service is a complete hit or miss, I literally cannot predict if they're going to be nice and helpful or completely ignored and not even greeted in when it's tiny and 3 of you inside which makes it feel weird.

Disclaimer: I am a teetotaler. Even so, Ruby Wine is one of my favorite vibes in the city. They have an extensive natural wine selection and knowledgeable staff who give excellent recommendations. Wines available by the glass or bottle. Also, they have the best mineral water! There is limited indoor seating, but we scored a window seat on my recent visit. Additional seating in the outside parklet. We always stop next door for delicious focaccia and charcuterie to enjoy, which is allowed inside Ruby Wine. Our friends play records every so often (Latin and Caribbean music) which adds to the vibe. We love Ruby Wine!

Ruby Wine is a nice place to sit outside and have a few glasses with your friends. My experience was overshadowed by the person at the counter. I grabbed a Glou Glou wine and asked if this was a good Glou Glou wine. They asked me to speak normal words, and I pointed to the label, indicating Glou Glou is literally a type of wine, and it is on the label. They kept pushing for what I wanted, like a parent asking their children to better describe their emotions. I described what was literally in my hands, a light red wine. They replied, "OK, that is what I was looking for." They said the wine we selected was OK, and they could find us something better, but then asked how much do we want to pay. "Not a lot", we said...Anyway, they did end up selecting a nice chilled red after scavenging for 49 seconds in the fridge. Moral of the story is don't ask questions, just buy what you want. Or get the glass of wine since there's only one option for each type.

Loooove this place. Vibes, wine selection, knowledgeable staff - 10/10.Keep your eye out for the Alimentari Aurora Sessions too on select Sundays where you can get a glass of wine at Ruby, get a bite from Alimentari Aurora (the artisanal deli next door), and listen to local DJs spin some fire tunes

5 stars for their wine selection.- 1 star for charging me sales tax just for a glass of wine- 2 stars for their “defund the police” banner

A solid place to grab a drink in Potrero! Definitely not a cheap place but there are dive bars aplenty in PH if cost effective beverages are what you're looking for. It's great to sit in the parklet with friends and a good bottle of wine. Just make sure to bring layers since it gets pretty windy/chilly especially late in the afternoon. They've got a ton of natural wines to choose from inside to keep you there for some time. I do wish there were snacks as well but that's irrelevant to this rating. Overall it's a good spot to check out, especially when the store next door is open and you can buy food from them and enjoy it in the parklet!4 stars instead of 5 because I've had pretty inconsistent customer service - there have been moments with the staff seeming impatient/unhelpful with suggestions and moments where they've suggested bottles $10+ above the requested price point (which is kind of frustrating considering they have so many wines that fall in such a wide range of prices).

The absolute bomb and a must as far as wine is concerned. Staffed by discerning but friendly enologists in a small, cozy, woody spot on the high street in Potrero Hill, every bottle on their shelves is amazingly delicious. If you like wine, go here. You will not be disappointed. ?

Super cute wine bar in Potrero Hill. All natural wines at a good price point. Buy a bottle and share with friends outside or enjoy a glass on your own. They even offer a wine club membership!

Vibe is welcoming to all. Feels like a slice of Europe mixed with artists from CCA. Grab cheese and snacks from Dario at Aurora Alimentari next door and hang in the parklet. All wines are vegetarian (did you know most wines are not!)...unique selection that feels thoughtfully crafted. Pours by the glass or grab a bottle to share with friends. Trying hard to make this my weekly spot to read and reflect.

Such a great gem in Potrero Hill. The attendants know their stuff and we now have a full wine closet!
