I never do reviews, however I need step out so that anyone looking to get their Rolex serviced, Giovanni is your only call.Example: I broke off the bezel over my date indicator, shipped to Giovanni and he shipped it back free of service charge. Granted he has managed a handful of my Rolex collection.I owe this man a nice bottle of Sonoma red vino.

I recently had my Rolex OP Date serviced by Giovanni at Independent Watch Service Center in San Francisco. Giovanni did a full service to ensure the accuracy and water resistance, and restore the aesthetic beauty of my vintage Rolex watch. Additionally, he adjusted the bracelet to fit my small wrist comfortably. The crystal and crown were replaced, and the watch was polished to perfection as per my request. The beauty of my 37-year-old vintage Rolex has been fully restored, and it now looks gorgeous and keeps accurate time. It has quickly become my favorite daily watch to wear. Moreover, Giovanni completed the service within the promised time frame of 2 weeks. The service fee was well worth it. When it comes to Rolex service and restoration, trust only the best, and that's Giovanni at Independent Watch Service Center in San Francisco!

I bought a vintage Rolex from a gentleman in San Francisco. There was a small problem with the crown tube that needed to be repaired. He offered to take it to the Independent Watch Service Center and offered to pay for the repair. Since I was familiar with the business as being a Rolex service center in the past I agreed and since the watch would be in there anyhow I asked that it be serviced. I spoke directly with Giovanni and everything was fine. I received the watch back but unfortunately when the acrylic crystal was replaced it developed a small stress crack at about 5:00. I spoke again with Giovanni and at this point I was really not that upset because those kind of things can happen. I sent the watch back to him and it was repaired no problem. (Remember each time this watch goes back and forth it goes to registered mail and takes approximately 2 weeks each way plus the time to repair it... although Giovanni did reimburse me for the outgoing fee.) I don't wear to watch every day and hadn't used it for about a month but when I went to set the time the crown pulled completely out of the case. The watch was still under the 2-year warranty and I sent the watch back to them with a note asking them to please expedite the repair as it seemed to watch was spending more time with Giovanni then with me. Remember the crown was originally worked on initially. Having received the watch back I also received a check for the original service amount plus shipping with a nasty note saying please don't send this watch back to us anymore. I tried to communicate with Giovanni through email but received absolutely no response. I'm not sure what the problem is, and maybe he took exception to me indicating that the watch was spending more time with him than with me but I said that more in a joking way than seriously. At any rate it was very unprofessional conduct and I don't recommend anyone trusting a watch such as a Rolex with somebody who is that temperamental.

Giovanni did an amazing, fast, helpful job taking care of my 90s submariner. It had some condensation inside the crystal, which caused me to worry that it was no longer waterproof and that water had gotten in and was rusting the movement. The took it apart (and showed me each step of the process), dried the interior, replaced the gaskets with new ones, and waterproof tested it — all really quickly. Thank you very much!

Although they could not service my watch as it is not a Rolex, the gentleman who helped me was SUPER HELPFUL and gave me lots of information and advise and a solution... All of this knowing that he would not make any money out of his efforts. I'm so glad I stopped in!
