Clearly, life changing ever since I joined. It's not for the weak but that's what it makes it super enjoyable because you just keep getting better every time you come back and you will come back for more! ;) I love the whole Ritual Crew in Soma, the teachers are my cheerleaders and honestly, it's a good release after a long day. I highly recommend for beginners because we were all once a beginner and it doesn't matter as long as you keep moving and breathing to the beat. ;)

What a great studio! If you come early, just know they open the doors 15min before class starts. It's huge and has plenty of space to hang out after a class. They have amazing amenities (including showers). I'm glad I didn't have to bring a mat or towel.Highly recommend taking a class with Dottie, I loved her energy.

This was the first yoga class I’ve ever taken where there were no cues to move between poses - eg(from downdog.. step right foot forward between hands, back foot at 45 degrees, sweep the hands up - warrior 1)… instead the pose was called out and then one movement that was part of the pose afterwards -absolutely backwards.it was at such a rapid pace - there was no time to focus and engage into the majority of poses.the transitions made no sense - high plank to handstand was a transition or lateral lunge to reverse warrior on the opposite leg - these are nonsensical transitions for a vinyasa flow.No true prep for peak poses - doing camel pose without a set of chest and back opening poses like cobra, puppy, or bow is dangerous at best and because there were no cues beginners wouldn’t know about variations of camel… that or moving into handstand/headstand without cues will likely lead to new people being injured at this studio.Maybe it was one class but since it was at a main hour on a weekday, have to assume typical.Studio is nice and modern.

Had an invigorating evening at Ritual Hot Yoga studio in Soma. The class was done in low light. The session was an intense and rejuvenating experience. The heated ambiance enhanced the practice, making it both challenging and deeply satisfying. The instructor's guidance was impeccable, and the studio's atmosphere was serene. A perfect place for those seeking a dynamic and detoxifying yoga session. Looking forward to more sessions here!

Hands down the best hot yoga studio!Ritual is a super unique yoga practice where you flow to the beat of the music. First timers, don’t shy away after your first class! It does take some getting to the ritual flow style. I love that I’m constantly challenged by the flows and peak postures of the week. I 100% attribute Ritual to pushing my limits in the best way, I’ve learned so much, and now able to do some cool arm balances. Love the community and the amazing teachers here! ?

I started off with a ten day pass ($75) and then got $75 off of a one month membership! I'm almost at the end of my membership and I can say with confidence that I have definitely grown during my time here! Even though I came in not knowing a single yoga pose, I'm proud that I know and can hold several poses properly now after following other people in class and hands on adjustments from instructors/assistants. Ritual's practice is all about breathing and flowing with the beat of the music, so the signature hot yoga class can be very fast-paced (the yin class is more of a slow and stretching class). The instructor is not always demonstrating, so I'd recommend choosing a spot in the middle row so that there are people in front and behind to follow if you get lost! My favorite part about this studio is that it's a one-stop shop - you're provided Everything (mats, towels, blocks, bands, lockers, showers, hair ties, EVERYTHING). All you need to do is show up in workout clothes and you're set. There's also bread on mondays, taco tuesdays, and bubblys on fridays which are a plus!

Best yoga studio in SF. Super supportive environment and catered to all levels. The class is done in low light and always has a great playlist. Seriously, the best 50 minutes you’ll have!

Love the all inclusive experience, no need to bring anything, just show up. They have all the tower and equipments you need for class and shower etc. very continent. Taco Tuesday smells so good.Con is I feel the class is best for ppl who are used to their pace, it was dark and fast pace, hard to follow for new comers. It’s like a yoga HIIT class. Not suitable for ppl who have injuries, and I felt it’s was a bit easy to hurt myself I’d move too fast or do it wrong. They have TA to help on correction but felt not enough instructions overall. My bkg: I’ve done yoga many years, knows most typical poses, but have leg and wrist injuries. But the teacher’s voice was beautiful and the ending towel was nice. Not much massage though, it was more of holding your upper arm for 5s.

Comically bad. Instructors call out poses in lieu of giving instructions or demonstrations, postures aren’t corrected, moments at the end of class which should be for contemplation or at least relaxation are always punctuated by the instructor telling a grim story about their past transgressions or traumas. Very strange. At least the room is warmTo their credit they do provide good amenities - many class options, yoga mats, towels, water bottles, and kombucha on Fridays

2-star yin yoga experience, increasing to 3-star because staff were friendly and good equipment. Could barely hear the instructor, who read things off a script with barely any move demonstrations. Terrible experience for beginners & experienced class participants alike. Also not a fan of the very dark decor - not a good ambiance for a yoga studio.

I've been coming to ritual hot yoga for over a year now and I Love Ritual.Every teacher is unique in their own way but the style of the class is the same. It's a challenging 1 hour yoga class in a hot room (inclusive of intro meditation and savasana). They welcome all bodies and styles. You get a warm up, then a flow that we reeat 4 times x2 for each side. 2 with guidance and 2 in our own. There is also a bit of an ab workout and finally more flow. There is a peak pose each week and you can see how much you improve. Levels are up yo you but they do from 1 to 4. I can personalize it depending on my goals and how my body feels. The music and flows depend on the teachers. For example, one will have more arm work and another one zero. They also offer yin restorative yoga classes and I use these to work through any pain.

I used to live at 6th and Howard and being near Ritual was one of the only benefits of living in that neighborhood. Room is super hot, music is super loud, lights off so you can focus on yourself. No need to bring your own mat or towel. While I'm very glad I don't live nearby anymore, I do miss Ritual!

Lots of class times each day, they provide the yoga mat and towels. Each class is unique, is fast paced and challenging, but energizing and healing!

I took an evening yin yoga class with Dottie. The room was heated and the studio provided Manduka mats, mat towels and face towels. Dottie provided detailed breath coaching and options for some deep stretching and core connection. The cadence and rhythm of this class was unlike any other class I've taken! I only wish I was in town longer to take more classes! The studio also showers and lockers for storing your things and freshening up after. Go here! Namaste
