I had the pleasure of discovering, buying from, and selling to, Relic Vintage on Haight. The owner Oran was great to work with. Everything went smoothly. I got the outfit I needed and reduced my closet load with very satisfying results. Don't hesitate to shop, buy and/or sell to Relic Vintage.

We had a great experience with Teresa. She was so warm and friendly and helpful. She helped me try on some beautiful dresses. This store is beautifully curated with some really stunning pieces.

My boyfriend and I visit this shop every time we visit from New York City. Every single time it is always the best experience with the most fabulous and unique clothing and the sweet employees. The way they package up your stuff and give you a cute receipt makes shopping here so much more special than it already is! I recommend visiting if you’re in sf

I had a very weird and upsetting experience at this store, my partner and I were having a good time looking at vintage clothing but the two female employees behind the counter in the store were starting and talking to each other about us, it gave off a very upsetting energy. I tried to brush it off but once I got to the cashier to purchase an item I used my credit card and after paying she asked me for identification because they as a small business had issues with direct payers and I have NEVER been asked this question before and was shocked but I showed my ID. The second I left the store the two employees started gossiping behind our backs. It honestly was a gross environment with those employees however the one male employee was very helpful and talkative until the other female employee started walking in his direction. These two ladies seem like an evil force which isn't good for business....

This place is aptly named relic in that the whole experience is like a relic of a bygone era when store proprietors knew their customer’s names and sizes and found just the right clothing to suit them. The proprietor, Orin, was ever the expert, doting attentively on my friends who were looking for feminine dresses that suited their body types. He found just the pieces for them, knowing their sizes without even using the measuring tape draped over his shoulders. My friends and I agreed that the service was what truly made the experience, and we will definitely be coming back.

Best vintage clothing store on Haight Street. Lovely assortment of items at fair prices. The staff are always incredibly kind and helpful. They really make it a wonderful shopping experience. Me and my boyfriend have gone to this store three times together, very spaced out as we are a bit far from San Francisco. However, the owner has remembered us and welcomed us back every time. My boyfriend bought two amazing suits here. They seem to be getting new inventory regularly, and it is always an amazing curation!

Would be a fantastic store if the employees were not so rude! Honestly the workers need to be a little more polite.

There is a lot of vintage on Haight, but not many stores that specialize in classic/timeless styles. Relic fortunately does, and does it well. This is where you go to find that classy blazer, elegant cocktail dress, or brilliant cabana set. The staff are all ready to help you find whatever you're looking for. Pro tip: the items along the top wall may be pricey, but that's some of their best stuff. Don't forget to look up!

Absolutely love the staff who have a good eye for what might be a flattering fit and keep it candid but always kind. Great selection, super organized, you can tell they do their research on the garments. I had so much fun realizing the trend in the decades I kept pulling, so the tags were super informative for my own fashion journey. Staff also have a good eye for adjusting to someone’s personal style + helping them find pieces that reflect it.

I am a huge thrift and vintage fan, so I have certainly spent a great deal of time on Haight street over the years. I have to say, though, that the rest of the street's offerings pale in comparison to this place! You walk in, and it's like you're transported back in time. The entire store is decked out in vintage wares (and even the display cases are gorgeously period). One of my favorite things is how all the staff are dressed. They are artworks in themselves, and it gives me such a buzz to be in the space, because I feel like I've gone back in time. They have an amazingly curated collection of clothing, jewelry, purses, scarves, and hats. If you are an aficionado of vintage anything, this is your place. Amazing.

My visit to Relic Vintage earlier today left me with mixed feelings. The unique finds and small business vibe is something I cherish in the city.A ring (not vintage but designed by an artist the store is connected with) purchased by my roommate was unfortunately the wrong size, and he was assured it was returnable within 30 days (see photo). When I tried to exchange it just a few days after Christmas, the staff insisted that "returnable" meant only exchangeable, not refundable. This contradicted the explicit language on the receipt. Their rationale, citing potential financial strain (YIKES), seemed inconsistent with the transparent communication one expects from a reputable establishment.I recognize the balance between customer satisfaction and business viability. But have to say that we all learn that maintaining consistency and transparency in policies is essential for fostering trust.Word of mouth is HUGE for my business (also small) and I unfortunately have already warned friends about the experience which is something I didn't want to do.

I shopped here one time several years ago. The experience has stuck with me because it seemed very inappropriate. I was shopping for a vintage swim suit and found some here. I tried them on and the owner was a little too eager to be involved in the trying on process. He lurked outside my dressing room the whole time I was trying on swim suits and it made me really uncomfortable. At the time I didn't know if he thought I was going to steal something or was just a creep. I believe it is the latter. Not sure why he would think this type of behavior is ok. I see another review where something similar happened. I think that since most of your customers are female, and many of them young and vulnerable, the owner should be ashamed of himself. I purchased a swimsuit from him and now every time I look at it I think of him lurking outside my dressing room trying to see in.
