June - 2023My husband and I take partner training sessions with Max. Our three children paid for our first series of sessions, and we have continued ever since. I think I accurately speak for my husband when I say that taking the partner training sessions with Max A. is one of the best decisions we have made. It's not always easy to get started, but so worth the effort.Although, my husband and I walk every day, we need to add in strengthening and more cardio. Max is very attentive and tuned into our strengths and weaknesses while working with both of us to improve core strength, coordination, balance, heart fitness and large muscle strength.Highest marks for Raise the Bar Fitness, especially our trainer, Max.August 2023Just an addition to my previous review. Just an addition to my previous review. I just had an annual physical and my total cholesterol and LDL dropped by 20 and 30 points respectively. While I am very cautious with my diet and have almost eliminated red meat, I also attribute this change to my work outs with Max and Daniel at Raise the Bar Fitness. In addition, my recovery heart rate is much faster than when I started at Raise the Bar. Thanks Max and Daniel!

I joined Raise The Bar about 8 months ago. With the pandemic and WFH, I felt like a big blob on my sofa. I wanted to get back in shape and finally take care of myself.Raise The Bar offers personalized training, I did the first evaluation session with Jason and since then I’ve been going twice a week.Jason is probably one of the nicest guys I’ve met in this city. He’s a smart trainer who genuinely cares about people he trains. Jason gives a ton of advice about mobility, strength, nutrition. He taught me basic movements of olympic lifting and I have to say: now I’m hooked.Jason also tracks progress: volume, body weight, body fat, which is a great way to keep me motivated.Not only I am much stronger but I’ve also found a good friend in Jason ?

Best parts of my week are training days at Raise the Bar! All of the staff are amazing and so welcoming, and I absolutely love the community. The facility has everything you could need for all different styles of workouts and is never over crowded.Jason is a wonderful trainer who puts so much work and effort into planning around the goals and interests of his trainees. We have been working together for a couple months and I'm noticing a huge difference in my physical and mental strength (also learned it's a C-L-E-A-N not a C-L-I-N-G lol). Jason has such a breadth of knowledge around fitness and is a blast to hang out with. Highly recommend!

Couldn't recommend these guys more. The trainers curate fitness plans for every client really geared to whatever that person's fitness goal is, even if it's simply getting into better shape. I've seen people at every level of fitness in there and everyone is always having a blast. The trainers really listen, stress health and avoiding injury, and it's hands down the best gym/fitness experience I've ever had.

I have been working with Fabian for a few months and not only feel much stronger but just better when I do almost any activity. Fabian is adept at understanding goals and will develop a plan to get you there. The workouts are fun and varied and he will give you just the right amount of push if needed. Fabian is motivating and able to draw from his experience as an athlete to encourage, console and educate. He takes a sincere interest in my well-being both physically and mentally and I really can't say enough...he is my coach, my friend and sometimes my therapist:) Thanks Fabian!

We haven't done training with these guys, but from the exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly interactions we had with Jason, I bet they're amazing! We popped into the shop the other day because the front door was open and we had heard that during COVID, they've been selling gym equipment to make ends meet. Previously, my honey bunny had been scouring Craigslist to no avail. Their equipment was very reasonably priced. We were able to get a whole system for cheaper than CL, while supporting a local business, and they delivered it all and set it up for a nominal fee! Super awesome. We'll definitely be back for any fitness or gym related needs -

This review is for Raise the Bar on Taraval Street, specifically my trainer MAX. As an older man -- well, let's just say an old guy -- I was apprehensive about starting my physical training, which everyone including my doctors, recommended. I need not have worried. My trainer MAX knew just what to start me with, what to avoid in the beginning, and what to encourage throughout the training. In addition, MAX is easy to talk to, and we not only do the work but share many laughs. In the two years I've been doing this, I've been happiest about what so far has been most helpful: the increase in my upper body strength. Additionally, I feel improvement in my leg-, hip- and lower back mobility.

I started with Raise the Bar on Judah St. years ago and still continue to go back after any hiatus I've had to take. Each time I go back the gym has improved time and time again. Jason and Nick are hands on and it shows in the quality of equipment and the choice of trainers and services offered. If your looking for a positive outcome and great results to your workouts then Raise the Bar would be great fit for you. Suzie H.

Great location with easy access and excellent trainers (me being one of them). It is not a gym just for anyone to go use, it is specifically reserved for those looking for personal training in order to avoid the place getting crowded. Has most everything you need to make a transformation
