The lady destroyed my nails, taking off gel.
I know that gel takes a high tall, but this service was off from the beginning. She used a huge file, couldn't make my nails the same shape (I had to point out how uneven it was), and she didn't listen when I asked for short nails.
When I took the salon polish off, I could see how terrible my nails were! Some fingers still have gel on it, others are filed so much, they are super thin!! (The red areas)
Second hand has the same issues.
And they charge $18 or something for gel removal? Insane
This is probably the worst nail service I got in San Francisco. Avoid avoid avoid

When I moved to Noe this quickly became my go to spot for nails. Even though I live on the other side of the city now I still make the trip to get my mani/pedi here because the staff is always super nice, their massage chairs are ecxcellent, and they consistently to a great job on my nails. Plus they usually play the Great British Bake Off on the TV which is always nice. I'm so bummed they are no longer on the ClassPass app because whenever I had too many credits I would come use them here as a treat to myself.

the worst gel pedi I've ever gotten -- I never write reviews but figured I'd try to save someone $70 here. The shaping was crooked and she cut my tonail so that it dug into my skin, application was uneven and got on the cuticles. And the worst part is that exactly 1 week later, the paint on one toe is fully peeling off. I've had gel pedicures last perfectly for months, so I definitely think it was poor quality polish. I usually go to Noe Valley for pedis but thought i'd try here since it's much closer to home, but never coming here again.

This is the best nail salon I've been to in San Francisco. If your a male who's constantly working on his feet and have sensitive (prone to ingrown)toe nails this place is for you! . I've started coming here from 2023 looking for a nail salon that would do my feet gently and that's one thing I love about this place! They take their time and make sure your completely relaxed and the two ladies always listens to how I want my toe nails shaped which is round. I highly recommend this place!! The prices are also reasonable priced for SF

My husband and I have been here several times for basic mani/pedis, and the results have usually been decent. Most recently, they completed our manicures and pedicures in 20 minutes total. They clearly had regulars waiting and completely neglected our treatment so they could fit in additional customers. I was shocked when the bill came for $120 for two basic mani/pedis without color. Needless to say, we will not be returning as this was the worst nail experience we've had in our entire lives.

Hands down the best gel pedicure I've ever received. I have moved to the City about a year ago and I was getting discouraged in finding a place that was convenient, affordable and did a thorough job. Many places I have found don't clean the cuticle nor scrub your feet if dead skin. I was overdue for a pedicure and I had a grown out , uneven pedicure from a month ago and my feet were very dry. Dianne took her time , cleaned my nails and cuticles so well. Although my feet were very dry she was kind and made sure all the dead skin was taken care of. Dianne gave the best massage that I almost fell asleep. (I'm not super keen on others massaging my feet but she was amazing with the perfect pressure.) I'm so happy I live within walking distance because I will be making this salon my regular place to go to.

I have always been a dip/gel kind of girl. Rainbow Nails has turned me into a just gel manicure/pedicure girl and I'm okay with it. They take their time and actually soak your hands and give your cuticles some attention. The salon is clean and the ladies are always so welcoming. Love that they have the Greatest Baking show on, one of my favorite shows. Diane has been my go to st this location. She listens to my needs and has been doing a wonderful job. They do accept all forms a payment so that's a plus.

Came here for a gel mani regular pedi and had a wonderful experience. The vibes are cute w British baking show playing in the back and the massage chairs are comfy. My pedicure was done so nicely and the polish was cute and applied so well. I loved my manicure and they were very kind even when I was being picky w my color choice. Really like this place and will return!

I don't regularly get mani pedis, but when I do, I come to Rainbow. The staff is detail oriented, and they're nice. I was able to get both mani and pedi done at the same time, by two staff members. The chairs are comfortable, with mechanical massage too! There are large TVs on each side, usually something fun like British Baking Show. I usually get a gel mani and regular pedi here. If you're concerned about the latest news on gel manis like I was, just put on water reso stain sunscreen on your hands before coming here. That allayed any fears I had. Location is great. Walking distance to mission, Hayes, Duboce, and Castro. The Muni line runs along Market St. so you're good. You're only blocks to Safeway, Whole Foods, a pet food/supply store, Fedex if you also need to run errands while you're out!

I live in Denver and always get dip powder manicures. However, SF doesn't offer dip powder anywhere. Hudson at Rainbow Nails was great. He was familiar with dip removal and was very meticulous throughly the manicure. Very happy and will return anytime I am in town.
