I purchased a couple different items from this location. From the first phone call to the day I left with my last product. The service has been amazing. The staff is helpful. You couldn't ask for nicer people to talk to. They installed my items securely to my vehicle. All in all, just great experience, not even sure what else to say. Don't you want.

Needed some wiring installed for my hitch so I could take my dirt bike trailer out. To my surprise, when I looked them up, the ownership changed and they are now known as Rack Attack (Rack Solid). I decided to give them a chance. I called the day before just to get a quote on the price and told them I would call them back when I was ready to make the move. I liked knowing ahead of time what it was going to cost (pending no issues of course). The next day I decided to go for it.
While I know this may not be typical and you should always schedule in advance, I reached out and asked if they had any appointments the same day. I talked to Sasha on the phone and he said he was able to squeeze me in by the end of the day (just keep in mind this is not typical for most shops so take it with a grain of salt and don’t expect that they would have same day appointments). I was super stoked! He also answered a few questions for me and was super knowledgeable. When all was said and done, the price was exactly what they said it would be and it was reasonable too! To me this shows an honest shop with integrity. They did a great job and I was very pleased with the work they did. I 100% will be going back to Rack Attack for any and all of my hitch and rack needs. These guys gained a new customer for as long as I still live in San Francisco (going on almost 20 years now so I’m probably not going anywhere anytime soon).
I can’t stress enough how important transparency and integrity is when it comes to running a business and these guys have it. Honest, hardworking and all around nice people. The way it should be. Definitely give Rack Attack a call. If they don’t have what you need in stock they will order it for you. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Rack Attack was Fantastic! I searched the net to find an installer for a hitch on my new SUV. The reviews pointed me to them, along with several Bike shops in the area. The prices were reasonable and the install date was met on time. Rack attack Is awesome!

They were very helpful and informative, which helped me in my rack decision. Because my car was older, they had to order it but had a deadline as I was leaving the city. Everything arrived early and I was able to install the rack before I left San Francisco. Very nice, clean and neat showroom with people who know their business.

Great experience getting a hitch installed on my EQS SUV ??
The manufacturer never made an after market OEM hitch available for my car. I found one from EcoHitch made for a different trim but they couldn’t confirm whether it would work on my car since they never tested on this trim. This shop was the only one among those I called that offered attempting to install it and only charging for labor if it wouldn’t work. Fortunately it worked!
The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Installation was fast and cleanly done. They have a great selection on the hitch mounted bike racks and also offered me some discount on the accessories. Recommended!

Met and talked with Sasha. I had a broken component to my Yakima ski rack, Sasha was very helpful talking through option. Although he diagnosed that it is not possible to fix my component, Sasha was very helpful suggesting a few other options. I appreciated his help and would definitely go back to Rack Attack in the future.

Rack Solid was great. I went in not knowing exactly what I needed and they walked me through the options and gave me good advice. The salespeople were knowledgeable and personable. I ended up installing the ski rack myself, but they have installation service available. The only downside is that parking is nigh to impossible. I actually gave up on my first attempt to visit because I couldn’t park. I was luckier the second time and very glad I persevered.

Rack Solid is awesome in San Francisco. I’ve been doing business with them for years since they were on third Street and now on Otis. All of the gear and installations have been fantastic and have lasted a long time. They sell quality products. And do expert installation. The staff is always helpful for even the smallest asks.

Outstanding service, from picking up the phone when we called to confirm availability of a replacement part to helping us install on our ski rack two hours later. Easy parking on the street. They made the process seamless on our drive to the mountains.
