Phone returned with perfect repair within two hours. Not cheap, but great staff who clearly know what they're about. Very happy with this service.

Honestly the best AV repairmen I've encountered in decades. I'm very impressed and I'll bring another vintage amp for service next month.I have a 1978 Concept 11.0 receiver that was overheating. It's a vintage high-current monster receiver with a wood case and chrome front. The manufacturer went bankrupt in 1983 and there's no repair information. But it's beautiful and has an excellent tone with my Klipsch fortes.I'd previously brought it to a different shop ("Champ" in the East Bay, which was a year+ and over $1k disaster - he couldn't fix it, broke a knob, caused an awful acrid burning smell and even sprayed cologne to try to hide it. Lesson learned!) but the amp was still lighting resistors on fire. I gave up for a year and assumed I was going to have to part it out. I made an offer to buy another Concept 11.0 and the owner said he'd gotten his repaired at Pro AV. So I decided to give Pro AV a chance but was prepared to buy this other unit if I had to.Pro AV found the problem that the other shop couldn't and fixed it in just 2 months for a fraction of what I'd paid the other guy. I honestly didn't think this amp could run as cool or as quiet as it does now. I'd just assumed it ran hot by design. And the smell is gone so my wife is happy.I couldn't give a more enthusiastic recommendation for these guys. They did excellent work for a very fair price.

I can't believe I forgot to leave a review for them! Fabulous work! I cracked the screen on my Korg Kronos Workstation and while it took a long time to get the part (not their fault) they did a great job on the repair and I have no complaints. The pricing was fair and the person I worked with was informative and helpful.

I handed them a Roland sampler as one of the pots was faulty. They charged me $80 to handle it. Fine, I guess! After weeks, I hadn't heard anything. Then when I heard back, they told me not only could they not fix it, but they would have to charge me a further $160 to return the sampler to it's previous broken state, or they could 'recycle' it for free. That is not what I expected.

Yamaha Corp. recommended Pro AV to do service repairs to my new MX88 keyboard. Since they were considered a Yamaha service center I never thought twice about having any problem. WRONG!!! I don't know how they were even setup by Yamaha. They never even confirmed receiving my unit, I had to request it via email, because they're only open three days a week, 18hour total. I don't even know how that would qualify them with Yamaha, which is something I'm still waiting to hear from Yamaha about! I begged and pleaded to receive any status or progress and all I got was a song and dance about the global supply chain problem and possibly getting my keyboard back in late spring! I got a Yamaha rep involved and somehow without any prior notice my keyboard showed up at my house a week later! No advance warning, no information, no NOTHING! This is the worst case of customer service I've ever experienced. I don't understand how anyone can even be in business with this type of communication which is ZERO! Just unacceptable, and now I have a beef with Yamaha because they are also dodging my questions about this entire issue! The ONLY good thing that cam out of this is I got my MX back in one piece and SO FAR it is operating properly...so far. This guy really deserves ZERO stars to equal his level of communication!

¡LESS THAN WORTHLESS! First, I brought my top of the line $2000 Carver Sunfire Subwoofer and was asked for a deposit if $85 to be credited towards the repair. After almost a year of evasive responses, they finally told me that the mother board needed replacement and that there none available (discontinued) and when I went to pick it up, I brought my other subwoofer (a Kiplish) that had developed a hum noise and they asked for another $85 deposit instead of crediting the previous one since the deposit was predicated on successful repair. When they balked, I foolishly, went ahead and paid it. After another 8 months of back and forth question and evasive responses about how hard they were working to find a replacement part which, turned out to be the motherf******g board, again! TOTAL RIP-OFF. I should have read better into the non-existing signs. This is a STEALTH shop, NOT on 18th Street as listed here, but a a few doors off the corner, on an alley and hidden behind a roll down steel door with no exterior business signs and, even when the gate is rolled up, you can't tell what they peddle, which is collecting $85 for non-repairs. With a catchy name like Pro AV Resources, they sure got me..TWICE!!

I've brought most of my finicky Marshall amps here and a recent fix for a fender vibroverb. The owner is able to fix any problem in a reasonable time and price. They also now have street access which is a boost for pick up and drop off. The owner will gladly share tech tips and knowledge should you have any follow up questions or observations. I highly recommend this business.
