This is my dogs favorite spot in the whole world. Actually his favorite spot might be under the covers in bed like a hikkikomori but this nice park is a close second favorite. Look at his enjoy the park!

Nice park area. Good views of the golden gate bridge. Usually not crowded and close to beaches/ocean. Not much food nearby.

Wow, the Presidio really transformed since my last visit to SF in 2019. What an awesome park! Tunnel Tops was a 15 minute walk for us from where we stayed, so I can't speak to the parking situation, but I found it to be super accessible. What a genius idea to build the park over the highway and connect it to Crissy Field. Park covers 14 acres and offers stunning views across the bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. We lucked out with clear and sunny days during our visit. The trails are beautifully lined with plants, there's a ton of lawns for kiddos to run on, and the cypress wood benches and playground are especially unique because the wood comes from reclaimed Presidio cypress trees. We found the park to be very clean as well. I hope that the city and community will continue to uphold the current state it's in because it was pretty much perfect!

I came here for an evening walk with my friends on a sunny winter weekend and was absolutely delighted to get some brilliant views of the SF Bay area peninsula. The Tunnel Tops allow you to walk all the way down to the beach from the parking area and while parking can be a pain sometimes, I'd recommend being patient on weekends specifically. There's ample seating spots available throughout the area so you can always grab a quick break if and when needed.

We arrived in time for their Ranger Talk, next to the live fire pit. The talk was about Natural Springs in the Presidio, very intriguing. Then we walked through the Outpost nature playground and decided to play in a section to climb a huge fallen tree. We took pictures of our shadows. This visit was so much fun, I was smiling from ear to ear, it made me feel like a kid again. A bit later, we were surprised to spot a food cart for GIO Gelati; we ordered mango and passion fruit favors, both were delicious. The Field Station center was closed at the time so maybe next time. Lastly, we took in the views of the Golden Gate and the bay, what a beautiful sight. Thank you Presidio for building this open space for the public to enjoy.

This place is breath taking. Great for a scenic walk, picnic, Disney museum and just watch all activities going on. Expect to see many friendly dogs, laugher all around and stations for learning about nature around. Did I mention the AMAZING SCENERY? Give this place a visit, it is worth it hands down!

After hearing about the construction of Presidio Tunnel Tops Park and in July of 2022, I was looking forward to seeing it in person. The Park is a part of the Presidio national park space and is completely free and accessible to all. The 14 acres of park with 180 varieties of native plants is in the heart of the Presidio and was ingeniously built over Highway 101 and connects the Main Lawn area to Crissy Field. The Park offers scenic views of the Bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The view you get can be clear to foggy and cold and windy depending on the day. There are lawn areas and picnic tables with grills that can be reserved. There's a two acre play area for kids to swing, crawl and climb on play structures. My first visit was for an AAPI music event at the Lawn Area, where they hold special events during the year. On my latest visit with my hiking group, we took the free PresidioGo bus from the Embarcadero for the 25 minutes trip to Presidio Transit Center next to the Tunnel Tops. We visited the Visitor's Center, walked the Park and down to Crissy Field and walked to Fort Point and return for a nice 4 mile walk and took the PresidioGo bus back. The 43 and 30 MUNI bus comes to the Park too. The Transit Center has a nice restroom facility and tables to sit down and enjoy your own food or from the food trucks across the Visitor's Center. Tunnel Tops is a beautiful addition to the Presidio. A nice place to kick back and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

SF has a ton of parks you can hang out in but this park offers amazing, unobstructed views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the city skyline, Alcatraz, etc.I usually hang out in the grassy area where you can lay out a blanket and enjoy the views. This park is so clean and I hope we keep it that way! There are also several benches, seats, and tables. There are also several picnic tables with grills that can be reserved.

What a refreshing addition to the Presidio! Fam and I would usually visit the Presidio for the food trucks and picnic area and now there is another expanse of beautiful landscaping, ample seating, educational and entertaining areas for kids, more food trucks - allwith gorgeous views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge (on a clear day that is).I've been here twice so far and it's simply beautiful and relaxing walking through the park, breathing in fresh air, spending time with fam. They have fun top-like seats that let your weight guide the direction you spin in the elevated area, playgrounds and a field study house for kids on the lower level. There are public restrooms, water fill stations, outdoor picnic tables, wind-blocked seating, grassy areas for picnics- this place has it all. There is paid parking near the food trucks and in the perimeter of the Presidio square.
