“I bought our first Dosha dog collar about 4 years ago and it’s amazing! It’s been through hell and back, in lakes, oceans, camping trips and everyone comments on it! I recently bought another since our old one has got a bit of ware and tear from over the years (but still is wearable and we go back and fourth from the old one to the new one now) and a stone fell out of the new one, the customer service was AMAZING, the woman got back to me immediately, sent me replacement stones and a replacement collar! This is an amazing company and we will be forever customers. Thankyou for helping my dog look stylish and for the durability these collars have to offer! 10 out of 10 love these products and amazing customer service!”
“Discovering Maxwell's Pet Bar about a year ago has been a game-changer for our 12-year-old dog, Simon. Thanks to Jen and Kristi's expert guidance, we found the perfect raw food combination that has literally turned back the clock for him. “I recently visited Top Dog and had a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and attentive,making sure to listen to my requests for my dog’s grooming. They did an excellent job grooming my dog. Also I was impressed by gentle attitude. Highly recommend Top dog for anyone looking for dog grooming services. Also, there are lots of cute puppy stuff.”

“A huge pet supply store that has everything your dog or cat would possibly need. And more.i got some chews for a big dog and some toys. The chews seem very expensive. But cheaper than in the smaller stores on Polk. Overall the store is quite sterile. But you dont come here for the ambiance. They have a big parking lot right out front.”
“Decided to try this local store versus the large box stores or online. Prices are comparable and some items even lower in price. Plus the customer service is excellent as staff extremely helpful and friendly. I will not hesitate going back to West Pawtal Supply and continue to support this gem of a local business.”

“My senior German Shepherd Honey has been going here for about 18 months, for bath/dry and nail trims. I think my experience and Honeys have been excellent.Communication is great, space is clean and calm, the prices seem more than fair for the amount of labor involved.Honey is on the nervous side but when I pick her up she does not seem freaked out - she's clean, her nails are trimmed but not bleeding, etc. They mention she can't stand the entire time so they have to get creative at times but everybody seems copacetic with the situation.There's a bad review that mentions that they informed a customer they were taking care of another dog with fleas. To me, a place that really likes dogs and wants to help them would of course take a dog being menaced by fleas and help them. You never know if the owner is able to do the care themselves, some must rely on services like this. This to me is a good sign, not a bad sign.”

“We've been going to Black Nose since 2014 because Walt is basically the only other human we'd trust to watch our pup. We moved out of San Francisco a few years ago but still bring our pup back for boarding here when we travel. Our dog is a mellow senior with daily medication and some other health issues but we fully trust Walt and Black Nose to take care of her. I wish I could give this place 10 stars!”

Brian was so kind to my mom - who is getting on in years and has vision problems - and walked her through finding just the right food for her finicky emotional support cat.
Bernal Beast always has great window decor and just feels like a friend in the neighborhood.

I know the place is fairly new, but there's just a lot of potential there. I hope they really keep going with the concept of what real dog food should be. I fear just like us, the food is leading them to their graves. Makes me sick going to the chains! How many dogs do you know that like crackers (a few). I love my animals, they are living beings, and not lesser life forms, as is the perception of a lot of human beings. We force them into an unnatural, and unforgiving world, as we kill of the rest of them or some other torture practice that we fail to recognize. They deserve better lives.”

“I’ve been following this chef for years, well before the shop opened. I placed my first order recently, as my mom let me know she finally had to schedule an appointment to say goodbye to two aging dogs. I ordered two items with 2-day delivery to send them a special treat, but was worried it might not get there in time. I emailed the shop before they’d reopened for the week and almost immediately received the most compassionate and helpful response. Can’t recommend them enough.”

“I have a pup with pancreatitis and most lower fat treats she refuses but luckily mishka’s turkey cake is very low fat and my dog is obsessed with the cakes and so am I. The cakes are absolutely beautiful and there are always fun new shapes with different seasons and holidays. The staff is also always so friendly and helpful. Mishka is a must go to if you have a pup in the Bay Area.”
