Overpriced and employee isn’t educated about the process. Thought I’d tried this fancy dry cleaner so I took a basic cotton maxi dress and a wool sweater in. Cost was $120 for the dress and $72 for the sweater. I asked what was so different about their process since it’s literally 3x the regular price of a neighborhood cleaner. To my surprise, she said, “I don’t know, we send them to the plant in South San Francisco.” I was like, um…so there’s nothing special about this place, you just charge a lot more ?? She finally said each piece is hand inspected and cleaned individually. Anyway, not very enthusiastic or encouraging- I’ve had more in depth pitches from a Costco demo selling blenders. The worst part is they delivered my clothes to the wrong house. Same street number, different street.Neighbor was nice enough to bring it to me. How does this happen with today’s navigation? I can see dropping it off at 800 if you’re 860. But correct street number on a completely different street? You need to have typed in the address incorrectly. I contacted them immediately but did not get a response.Maybe if you had a vintage couture dress or you wear Brioni suits it’s worth it spending that much to clean it?Honestly, I expected so much more of “an experience” from this place. It’s supposed to the Neiman Marcus of dry cleaning but it was a Walmart experience. Nothing special at all.At least with the neighborhood cleaner, they give your dog a treat. Show you photos of their grand kids. The counter person is the owner/ family member so they care. This place is a sausage factory that sends your stuff to a plant off site.

Fantastic service, great attention to detail. My family and I have used this company for years, be it Menlo Park or here in Sf when I lived here. They always go out of their way to make things right even if there is a mistake or something they can't get the first time. But the presentation, the overall approach to how they clean gives me the confidence to trust them with my high end clothing, which is an investment you don't want to waste with the wrong cleaners who can fade colors etc on those expensive fabrics you may have. Highly recommend.

New drivers don't tell you to keep your high-end hangers and housing when picking up and deliver back on plastic bags, discarding your material. Prices have gone way up. Quality of customer service on the phone is almost condescending. Not worth the money.very disappointed to see a good business on its way down because it s own belief it's worth more than anything in town. Reality check needed !Service: Delivery

I have never been met with such rude “service”. I brought my vintage Hermes riding jacket in to get cleaned. Liz immediately asked me in the most condescending manner, “Are you familiar with our pricing?” Yes, not a problem.I then asked the manner in which the cleaning would happen, if they used certain chemicals. “I can’t tell you about our process. Our cleanings are up to the plant manager.” All I wanted to know was if they execute basic dry cleaning on your garment, steaming (don’t ever ask her about this as you may see her head roll off), etc and she could not have been any ruder. Our exchange was so brief but I’m still sitting in my car, baffled and wondering who in the world Liz thinks she is.

I just drove all the way from Oakland to bring an item to get cleaned. The place came recommended by my tailor, so was already willing to pay the high price. When I walked in, the woman that greeted me was curt, immediately told me that the prices start at $100, and didn’t even ask what substance had stained my pants before saying she didn’t know if they could get it out. I understand the ability to not guarantee an outcome – but I came here because Peninou is supposed to have expertise, and was really surprised by the lack of curiosity and interest shown by the customer service. Very disappointing because I was hoping this would become my go to for specialty items.

I've been bringing my items here for years. They charge RIDICULOUS amounts for cleaning, but I feel like they know how to treat delicates better than other cleaners. Like seriously, a duvet cover costs $150+ to clean. Once a random sock got left in my pile and they charged me $12 to clean and press ONE SOCK! I am not giving this poor review because of the cost, I am giving it because Liz at the front counter is rude and mean. I am tired of feeling berated and beat down by her. Her glares are toxic, her quick retorts are condescending, and she never smiles or returns any niceties. Maybe she should get a job at the DMV where this sort of customer service skill is acceptable?

My friend brought her stuff to this place and completely took out all the mold smells and garbage. Then I decided to do it. I spoke to Devina, who was completely professional, kind and polite. I will definitely keep coming here and tell other people about this place. It's nice to have real customer service in life!

I brought a heavy lace white heirloom table cloth to be cleaned and picked up a very white, no spots left, table cloth with two large holes.I was surprised that there was no notification of the new holes. I paidthe normal price. This is not the quality I would expect from Peninou of old. I had always been very satisfied in the past.

The people were great, the service was good. No I say this because over a month ago, I wanted to get a leather jacket dry cleaned. It took almost a month for them to finally give it back to me and I bought the exact same jacket to another dry cleaner, and they finished it in less than half of the time.

Appalling how rude and condescending that mean lady is at the Laguna site. Is she trying to win a prize for nastiness? I was polite and dressed nicely etc. yet she treated me like I was a nuisance and not worth talking to. I was truly stunned and could barely speak. What an awful experience for a long time San Franciscan. Don't go here. Try another one of their sites. Good luck!

This place is NEVER open during their given store hours. I've tried visiting on 4 separate occasions and have been met with a locked door each time. Whether it's lunch time (found out they close for lunch hours by the sign they have on said locked door), or a random time during the day (have tried ~2 and still no one there), or in today's instance: went at 3:50pm and they were closed (store hours show they're supposed to close at 5). Awful.
