Finally a place that cares about people and understands customer service. These guys helped me with flat tire and were helpful from the very first moment all the way through to pick up. Plus they were very cost effective!! Would come here again in a heartbeat.

Literally had the worst experience. They asked for $190 (without tax) for oil change. And the attendant wouldn't allow us to be parked there to figure out whether we wanted to use their oil-change service. Please reconsider going to other shops that have better attitude and most likely lower price.

I can’t sing Pacific Heights Chevron’s praises loudly enough! We took our Subaru to the dealership for a tune-up, where they told us we had a head gasket leak and the extremely expensive repairs exceeded the value of the car. We were basically going to have to take it to the junk yard. Hoping for a miracle, we took the car to Pac Heights Chevron for a second opinion. Not only did they conduct multiple tests that ruled out a major engine issue, but they completed a few other minor repairs quickly and at a reasonable cost. Janet and Dan were both easy to reach and communicate with, they were thorough, thoughtful and went out of their way to make the process as smooth as possible. I encourage anyone in need of a skilled and trustworthy mechanic to look no further than Pacific Heights Chevron! You won’t be disappointed.

Avoid coming here for auto work at all costs. We came in to get an opinion on our brakes, and was quoted over $900 for work. We took the car to another shop for a second opinion, and they said there was absolutely nothing wrong with our brakes. If you want a shop with integrity, go elsewhere.

I've been to Pacific Heights Chevron Auto Repair twice for smog tests and I can say I won't go anywhere else. It's easy to get an appointment, the staff is knowledgeable, professional and kind. I strongly recommend them.Service: Smog certification

I brought in my '95 Toyota 4Runner for a smog. They actually had to run the test on a special machine calibrated for older vehicles. They did, I passed and I'm now planning a camping trip. Thanks everyone.

Did a smog. Staff was very warm and nice. Offered to fill up gas and add it to bill. Turnaround was fast. Better experience than what I expected.

Dan is the best mechanic I have ever worked with!I had an issue that was making my car fail smog. It was so complicated that my previous mechanic of two years basically told me he couldnt do anything for me. I thought I was going to have to sell my 15 year old car for scrap. I went to three other mechanics who didnt even want to take on the issue until finally called this shop.Dan was UNSTOPPABLE and worked super hard to figure out what exactly what was going wrong, kept me informed the whole time, and was super empathetic to my experience. Im so grateful and will definitely be back any time I need help with any car.I highly recommend Dan, he knows his stuff!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Please read before you book a smog test! There are more honest ones out there!!When it comes to cars, you want to find trustworthy people who work with integrity. In short, the man who runs the smog check department (Dan) provides inconsistent recommendations and has a poor memory of what he has said. Not a good trait when it comes to your car. I've had a smog test at this station before, and it was uneventful. When it came time for another one this year, it made sense to go back to them. They claimed my car was not communicating with their machine, and that I should take it to the dealer to see if it can communicate with their machine. I did as told, and there were no issues. I called the Chevron back the next day to ask if we should try again or if I should find somewhere else else. Dan said it would take 5 minutes to see if it would communicate so I could bring it by 8am the next day. I couldn't do 8am, so he said 2pm. I asked if there's anything else that I should do. He said I could call up this auto company/mechanic(?) he knows and ask them. I said okay, and unless there was any indication I should not come in, in which case I would notify him, I would see him at 2pm the next day. He said okay. Immediately after hanging up with Dan, I called those guys up and left a message explaining the situation since they didn't answer. No one from that company called me back, so I went in as planned at 2pm. Dan claimed I didn't have an appointment and there was no recollection of me. I told him I spoke to someone who had a doctor's appointment the previous day and had to leave early. That person told me to come at 2pm. He said that person was him but he didn't want to test my car because if it didn't communicate again, I would be charged because their station would be dinged and he didn't want that. I told him I had called the guys he told me to call and there was no response, and we had said I would come at 2pm unless there was a change. He reiterated he didn't want to test my car's connection with his machine because he didn't want to be dinged. Why this was never mentioned over the phone the previous day - no idea. I told him he should have told me that on the phone rather than wasting my time to come in again. There was not any mention of his reluctance to test again - in fact, he said it would take 5 minutes to see if the car would communicate with his machine, and he was accommodating with the time. I got a recommendation from a friend for another smog station not far away, and they were not only friendly, they were over $20 less! I asked them why they thought my car couldn't communicate with the other station's machine. He wasn't sure, but my car had no issues communicating with his machine. One explanation would be because they wanted to sell me other services. All in all, I would caution anyone getting a smog test to shop around before settling on this station. The lack of truth telling at this station gives me pause to give them any business.

Expensive to the point of over charging. Also over-diagnose issues to jack up your bill even more. It’s not a bold faced lie but it will still be an expensive one - would recommend not going here unless absolutely necessary.

It was a warm day in SF(ha!)They notified me when car was ready. The windows were lowered to cool the car. Nice! They parked the car near the employees. I've witnessed car thefts in supermarket parking lots, so I'm very careful.I like that the station is in less dense traffic neighborhood.Service: Auto maintenance

Needed a smog check and was in and out in 15 minutes. Fast, friendly service. Easily booked my appointment and was able to run a few errands while my car was being serviced. Convenient location, friendly, professional service.
