Honestly, so disappointed in my One Medical experience. Please avoid at all costs unless you want to be miscoded for a visit and incur ridiculous out of pocket costs.I had visited this location for the first time hoping to have some simple labs drawn as a routine part of my graduate school requirements. My school is in the East Coast; hence I needed a something quick and easy. Prior to agreeing to meet with a provider, I had explained my circumstances to the front desk staff, and inquired about any costs I could anticipate with the visit. I was reassured that there would be no out-of-pocket costs as everything I was looking to get done was considered preventative, hence covered.Fast forward, one of my labs was ordered inaccurately, and I was charged $350 because the provider I had seen had coded our 10-minute conversation (where I discussed why I was in graduate school, why I needed labs, and what I did for work) as a diagnostic one.I tried reaching out via phone, in-person, and directly to Edward, the Physician's Assistant I saw that day. Everyone essentially told me they could not help. Michael, the operations manager at the location, claimed that there was nothing he could do if his staff miscommunicated. Efforts were lackluster in remediation, and ultimately, what I anticipated to be a seamless process is now a lengthy discussion with my insurance company.

Horrible! I have been a member since 2018 and this is the worst location. THREE peopleWould t look close enough to see my standing order in my chart for labs & once they did, they filled the order in wrong to Lab Corp and end of well-still no results. I flew in from out of town to see my specialist and One Medical couldn’t execute my labs!

If you want a provider that you can trust & not see unethically bill you for higher insurance reimbursement - not the place for you.Went for an annual physical, was asked if I had any question/concerns I wanted to go over. I answered honestly, which was clearly a mistake, because next thing I know they are providing services without telling you of additional cost and i ended up with a $900 bill because the provider changed the nature of the visit from annual physical to an “acute emergent” visit, which as another health care provider, it definitely was not.Contacted their billing department & they informed me that they don’t have to discuss and receive consent for cost of services with patient - to me this is borderline unethical & shows that this is their expected business practice.

One Medical is an internet oriented company based in San Francisco, who strives to conduct medicine electronically, having remote facilities providing horrendous service. Only at the San Francisco facility was any sign of concern for me the customer exhibited.Having Aetna insurance, I attempted to find a primary care provider in Marin county where I currently reside with no success, except via One Medical, an organization with two offices in Marin. Walking into one I was seated at a computer to sign up. I went through the online procedure leading to a page asking me for $199!!! just to join! The receptionist told me I get to see doctors whenever I want. I declined.I complained to Aetna who told me Aetna pays the enrollment fee. Staff at Marin did not tell me this. Now a member I walked into the One Medical office at 350 Bon Air Center #200, Greenbrae , Marin County, where I live, for a blood test. This was the MOST painful blood test I EVER had. Arriving home I found the incredibly rude lab technician left me with the tourniquet on my arm and a purple bruise!I called their toll free number to receive a Covid booster, reached a "team member" in Phoenix who reviewed appointments at either of the two Marin County facilities and booked an appointment..Arriving for the "appointment". One Medical knew nothing about it and told me to go to a pharmacy. Later I received a call from Safeway where I had received an earlier shingles vaccination to remind me to get one. My doctor at One Medical emailed me to just walk into a local One Medical facility. I did and was curtly referred out of the nice waiting room to the hall, awaited the lab to open and then told they did not do this because Medicare doesn't pay for it. I went to CVS for the vaccine.I am having some serious trouble with one of my feet. After my first virtual appointment with my doctor, we agreed my next appointment would be in person. When I attempted to get that in person appointment One Medical did everything possible to make this into another virtual appointment. Finally I landed a physical appointment, in San Francisco, NOT in Marin County where I live. The doctor was excellent and taking a blood test there I was astonished to find that the Lab Technician was Excellent vs the lab technician in Kentfield - the worst I ever encountered in my life..One Medical constantly offers promotions to send them new members. They are an Internet Oriented company seemingly discouraging physical meetings with doctors. Their remote office staff won't even smile at you when telling you to leave the nice office and wait in the hall for the Lab to open. They might consider attending staff training from Safeway or CVS.My Doctor who I finally met was, and is, EXCELLENT. Considering what it took to get to actually be in her presence I'd avoid joining this company if possible.

I have been asked to draw blood 3 times to complete a single panel due to the incompetence of this company. All the receptionists also don't wear their masks properly. What does it say about medical a facility that the employees themselves don't understand how a medical mask works, and that noses are for breathing? I have also rushed across town for labs 3 separate times to be told the lab was closed that day for various reasons.

They never see patients on time and have very unfriendly front desk staff. Consistently see patients 20 mins after their appointment time which is not professional or reliable.

I've only had great experiences here. When I needed to walk in for lab tests being done I only had to wait max 10 minutes. The staff is always friendly and service is quick. Would recommend!

I am a member for the past two years and it's been a terrible experience. My impression is that they don't really care and have no internal accountability. It took about a year to get my records transferred from Kaiser Permanente. I've had messages ignored for weeks with regular pings from me to get their attention. Most recently, I have been waiting for a referral for over two months. They did try to set it up but forgot to send a required form to the other office. Every time I called to set an appointment date for over two months, the referral office complained that one medical isn't responding to their faxes or calls. One medical doesn't respond in app. This is an awful service and I can't believe I pay extra for this.

For being able to see a doctor same day, even if it means driving beyond your neighborhood, and for good cheer and competence of doctors and staff, 2 stars. For getting to actually speak to someone on the phone, and most especially, for getting prescriptions refilled, minus 3 stars. For being able to see the same doctor for a significant number of years, minus 3 stars. For kindness of staff and doctors I would give 5 stars, but it doesn't add up to a true assessment. Two's the best I can do.

Let me just add - after spending THREE hours sorting out a new appointment (because One Medical is the most unorganized, non responsive, doesn't give a sh*t about their patients place EVER) I show up to my appointment AND THEYRE NOT OPEN!?!?!?!? What a sick joke. This place is the absolute worst.

I have come to One Medical here on California Street in Pacific Heights for a check-up in Fall 2017. I chose One Medical for the ease of making an appointment, and the convenient locations to my work and home. Dealing with a regular doctor's office is such a total pain. I wanted to make this place my go-to, but I had the strangest experience here TWICE. The experience was that I told the PA or Dr. that I'd like to get a referral for my annual mammogram. In both of these instances I was lectured that I didn't need a mammogram and to get one was a waste of time/resources. The reason(s) for this was because I have no history of breast cancer in my family and no other risk factors. In both of these situations, when I pressed back I was risking my own long-term health by starting to get mammograms too early in life and how the radiation could affect me later. This was long after News Anchor Amy Robach was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 40 with no history of breast cancer in her family or other risk factors. When I brought up the Robach story and asked how her story made sense given the "no mammogram needed until 50" advice I was being forced, she couldn't answer the question. I had to literally BATTLE BACK and demand a mammogram referral, while being badgered for not understanding their "context" of my medical history evaluation (at this specific Pacific Heights location). I have now told this story to many doctors and nurses who are truly shocked that this organization strongly advises many women under 50 to not have mammograms. It is almost impossible to believe frankly. I thought the first time way back in 2014 might be a fluke ... but then it actually happened the second time here in 2017. I told this story to the woman who gave me a mammogram last week and her exact reply was ... "20% of the patients we diagnose with cancer are under the age of 50 - they will be responsible for women under 50 who have cancer not getting properly diagnosed in time to get the treatment they need. We want people tested every year here." You can take your own chances with the "recommendations." But why would you?
