Excellent Place but there is a lack of humanity, those of us who live there need it, those who work there need it, no one is more or less. We are human beings and there should be no difference.

during the winter season, there's a list of places that allow people to drop in after 4pm, this was one of them. i got the list from St. Anthony's, which provided an excellent lunch!
in order to get a place via winter drop-in, you must be first in line. there's likely no room, as most beds are taken by longer term guests. And in order to stay long term, you must be referred by another agency ("GA"?). furthermore, at 4pm, the crisis team fire truck / ambulance vehicle go around collecting people and dropping them off on time, so you must be there before them. first-come, first-serve is indeed brutally unfair to the unfit.
food is "meals on wheels" microwaved in plastic meals.
water from a water fountain at night (past 10pm), or the cooler in the kitchen during the day.
they store extra baggage, and check all baggage taken in (not stored).
drop-in is super simple: no registration. it's so simple and anonymous, it might be a security problem! all they ask is for the name. it's good 'n bad. i dig the simplicity.
bathrooms are industrial, with showers just hot enough in March. Shower water flooded easily.
overall, it's like an industrial travel hostel. not bad at all!
the staff was very good to me too! not as pushy as st. anthony's which shooed me off into the rain. i only wanted to wait until the rain slowed down!
now the mini-trauma: one guy i was computering with said to go upstairs, where there was a quieter room with an outlet on the 3rd floor. we go up, continue computering. soon enough, he hits a bowl of weed, then, he starts rubbing his nipple 'n stroking his private parts, right in front of me!!
When I told the staff this, they did not care. :/

These photos showing claims that these are food that we get. Not even close. We get microwaved frozen that is leaving it flat. When pepper and salt shakers are on the end of tray line, you can be sure that it makes a difference. Whoever brings those in- props to you! Come on! To have a claim that these are shelter food is ridiculous. Maybe they (staff) get those delivered and eat among them. Definitely not us. When I came across this on yelp, it made me feel strongly that this claim is untrue and I should make it known. I'm grateful for the help that the new system is better now. New staff and policies are less restrictive and tolerance w/in reasons. Friendly and they talk like to us without authority unlike before. ( Not to to say that they were that bad. They were cool too. But authoritive, ( is that a word, lol)

Next door shelter can be okay at times but some of the staff (words cannot explain) but I often ask "where do they get these people" obviously jail or some kind of program. There are some very very good staff members like Sabrina, Moma Dee, Sandra, Woody, Jeremy, and some of the young men staff that I don't know names. Also Tina Marie. Nevertheless the facility often has many issues and if your able to use your time wisely, stay busy outside of the facility. If you need to stay. Have headphones Bluetooth and wired for back up. Avoid the graveyard shift. Very unprofessional and often perverts and drug users. I feel this place would be great if they gave the staff monthly drug tests. Maybe a better director. It's not really too bad but takes focus and preparation to navigate through this unstable place. Nevertheless I have seen a multitude of people obtain housing in ample time. The caseworkers do their best to expedite the process on things the guest need to help them transition. It's not the Hilton but it's not the pit of hell either. If you focus on using this place to leverage yourself into affordable housing. Be patient stay busy and avoid dramatic chaotic people and things should be ok.

My son is missing and we called this place as well as the sheriff dept to find out any information and they wouldn't answer any questions. There is a nationwide attempt to locate missing persons and all I want to know if they have seen my son or heard of his name, they were to rude to answer a simple question, my heart is dying inside not knowing if my son is ok or not, or if he's safe or not

So I have mixed feeling about this place both good and bad. I was homeless and was staying here. Staff was friendly and inappropriate with clients. Case Manager were not really there. My son mother and I found cracks in the system so we could get housed quicker. This was a long time ago before coordinated entry. If you do have to go here it is a place to sleep and don't get sucked into the life and do not stick your Wizarding ward wand in your mouth and try ro check out early. It is only temporary and things get better.
