The mission of this organization seems great, however the staff is unresponsive to email and phone calls, making it difficult to communicate

Such a cool concept! We're a big fan of fitness parks and this is a fitness park on steroids. Visiting SF, we scootered past this monstrosity of an outdoor gym midday Saturday, vowing that we would need to come back on Sunday to work out before sitting idly on a plane. Sunday came and we were pumped. This place has a variety of equipment (for lack of a better word), such as pull up bars, rings for pull ups, push ups, rows, box step ups, etc. We did not use all the equipment but here's a snippet of our routine: - Rows on the parallel bars (this is located next to/behind the gym) - 15 reps slow on the way down - Box step ups - 15 reps each leg - Push ups on the ground - 10 reps - Pull ups - as many reps as you can with good form - Abs on the ground - hollow body, side planks, sit ups This was enough to get the much needed endorphins! Check this place out.

It’s a simple outdoor calisthenics gym. Not worth the trip, unless you’re going for a run in the Marina and have a burning desire to do some pull-ups.A beloved — if lackluster — San Francisco institution.

National Fitness Campaign are the real deal. Great fighters, excellent instructors. They can teach anyone to box and they do it with grace and patience. Recommendation: Private lessons with Simon.

A free outdoor gym in the SF Marina District, what's not to like!! They have pictures illustrating how to use the equipment, or you can just get on and figure it out for yourself. This is a great way to promote fitness in a great location, as you can do a lap around the Marina Green and then work out here, then do another lap, and so on. When I do get a chance to run in the city, that's what I do!! If I lived in this area, this would be my gym all the time, no membership needed!!!
