Today I brought my dog here for a bath and trim. When I dropped her off, I told the employee taking her that she often tries to run when she's scared, and asked them to always keep her secured. When I came to pick her up, I watched in shock as the employee carried her out on the street and back into the adjacent door, with not even her collar on. When the employee carried her out again, I reminded them that she should not be carried out on the street without a leash on. The employee told me that it was ok because my dog was relaxed in their arm. Once inside the store, I said again that it was very dangerous for them to have taken my dog out without a leash or collar, and asked if this was the store's normal practice. I was told that it was ok because my dog was secure in their arms, and that Mudpuppy's only uses a leash for dogs that are flight risks. First of all, there is no way that Mudpuppy's staff can safely assess whether a dog they have just met is a flight risk. Second of all, I had specifically told them that my dog IS a flight risk, and they ignored that. I have never written a bad yelp review before, but I am doing this now because as a dog owner, I would want to know! The grooming was good, but not worth the risk. I will never take my dog here again.

I've been taking two small poodles here for years. The operation is well-organized and professional, and I totally trust them with our pooches. Whenever there's some health issue they notice (e.g. anal gland issue, skin allergy), they also give us a heads up and we'd take the dogs in to the vet for a check up. My only complaint is the fact that haircuts can be inconsistent. Sometimes we get a great haircut that's exactly what we asked; other times, our instructions seem to go in one year and out the other, and we'd get something that not even close. I can't help but feel like the quality and consistency here is a bit lacking. Overall though, I do recommend them. Plus, their window display of dogs that just got freshly groomed is so cute and WILL cheer your day up!

What a damn shame. More than ten years a client, through Covid, huge price hikes. And this is what I get. An injured senior dog, a $115 buzz cut. A child claiming to be a manager, who has the NERVE to tell me we are no loner welcome at this establishment?? Should I dust off my megaphone and do some protesting? What does everyone else think? Anyone else experiencing the crash and burn of quality and customer service? "

Love this place. We walked in for a nail trim and they helped us right away. We were out in less than ten minutes. They were very friendly and great with my pup!

I've been bringing my maltipoo Boo here for close to a decade. The staff and groomers always do a great job, and he comes home looking handsome and smelling fresh. He's gotten a little more high maintenance as he's entered his elder statesman years, but the Mudpuppy's team is so flexible and accommodating. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Mudpuppy’s is a short walk from my apartment and should be a home run as a choice of groomer but after taking our dog there 4 times and not once receiving the hair cut we’ve asked for despite confirming over the phone, in person, and with pictures - I can no longer recommend this business. Each time I’m told that they’ll get it right the next time, each time I make sure to spend extra time when dropping him off to explain. The worst part is what we want is extremely simple - short all around. No fluffy tail, no beard, nothing extra and yet each groomer seems to decide to keep the beard, tail, or just do something weird (one time he had a bald spot they claimed was “something sticky in his fur” and other times random parts of the cut were just done poorly).I could deal with the high prices if they just did a consistently good job but they never have.

We had our puppies first grooming here and Katie did an amazing job! His cut looks great and we are very pleased. We have a toy cockapoo and she was great with him! We can't wait to come back for his next hair cut.

So glad I found them!I have been taking my cocker spaniel to Katie for sometime now, and I absolutely love the service and care she provides. She is the best!My dog is naturally very anxious/shy when it comes to being taking to places (such as the groomer or vet). SO originally when I was looking for a new groomer, I wanted to find a place that would give my dog some extra TLC and a great cut. And that is exactly what this place and Katie offers! I aways trust that Katie will take great care of Sammy and ensure that he will look so cute at the end :)I highly recommend this place and Katie!

Their staff are great with our little Chinese Crested but the haircut was very off. Our dog was returned without his face properly groomed (which we were warned of) and what looks like a buffalo hump on his back. His shoulders and half of his torso were left untouched. I don’t think their staff is familiar with how to groom particular breeds of dogs; we will therefore be taking our dog elsewhere to finish the job. For a place that requires booking several weeks in advance, we expected better. I will not be returning.

If you have a miniature schnauzer and looking for a groomer go to Omar! He is so awesome. He took the time to hear my concerns about my pup being at a grooming shop for the first time. (She previously had experience with a mobile groomer.) He made both us of feel comfortable after meeting him. For the grooming, he executed and killed it. She came out looking so beautiful and like the inspiration photo I shared. I am so happy I found Mudpuppy and found great talent in Omar.

First time they nicked his testicles. Disregarded it as mistakes happen. Second time they cup too deep on his paws and now it's really irritated. I get mistakes happen but this is the first time I had a groomer make mistakes back to back.

I was so excited to finally secure an appointment for my puppy at this location (waited two weeks) . I was referred by a good friends and had heard great things. The day of my appointment they canceled on me 10 min prior to my appointment, I was literally almost there . There wasn’t much remorse , was told by the employee they would reschedule me once they got into the business. He didn’t reach out to me until the next day to offer me an appointment in another 2 weeks , no discount offered, no free wash , no earlier prioritized appointment. If im agreeing to pay over $100 for a grooming service I think it’s more than reasonable for my time to be respected as well .A 10 min last cancellation when I’m coming from South San Francisco in a Uber nonetheless is just a bit ridiculous.Considering all the rave and good reviews I’d expect a little more remorse for a customers lost time and ultimately money ….

My pup’s first grooming went off without a hitch and was surprisingly affordable. Her breath also smells SO MUCH better after they brushed her teeth.

Karen C has good grooming skills, but sadly, she doesn't try to make any connection with my dog. Anyone who takes their dog for grooming knows how important that is to build trust with the groomer. The first time she groomed my dog, I thought she was just really in a hurry because of a packed schedule, but I could tell my dog was scared and wanted to get out of there. Fortunately, Hannah C who gave my dog a bath did her best to connect with my dog to make him less anxious, The second time I booked Karen C to groom him, she was again in a hurry, and didn't do what we agreed on (left about 2" of hair when we agreed on 1" and cut my dog's lashes, when I nicely asked her not too and she agreed). My dog has been groomed many times before and has always been fine when I'd leave him. For some reason, he was just afraid at Mudpuppy's. Since then, I've gone to a different groomer.
