Fantastic old-time San Francisco women's club. Beautiful bar and dining room. The food is hit or miss. They have a great holiday party for families. The pool and athletic facility is great because lightly used. Nice pilates equipment. Also a great place to play Bridge.

Most amazing club!! Been a member for about 9 years. It's a classy place with beautiful amenities. The staff is absolutely wonderful and they make you feel like royalty. Unsure about the drug alley comment as it's located in a nice area of San Francisco, across the street from the Olympic and bohemian club, not "the most dangerous part of sf" by any means. I work down the street in the financial district. So this place is a beautiful escape and oasis to run to after the hustle and bustle of the day.

This old world social club is a gem - amazing women members, lovely food, a beautiful restaurant, a bar that serves daily tea in the afternoons, a salon, gym with swimming pool and tennis court, and gorgeous facilities with a lovely staff who care about knowing people's names and making members feel comfortable. The Metropolitan Club also has comfortable quarters for out of town guests where the cost is less expensive than staying at a hotel.In addition to being a member, I've used the club for events, too, and the events have been very successful because the ambience is perfect. And did I happen to mention the chef is superb and the food is sublime? I've been a member for a few years and have not regretted joining. The Metropolitan Club is a welcoming home way from home to everyone who joins, and I highly recommend it.

An incredible group of ladies are joining the club, some members are second and third generation members, great place to make new friends, outstanding big swimming pool with saline water, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, spa, few restaurants, overnight luxury big rooms, fun and intellectual lunch and learn, dinner and learn, indoor tennis court, great fitness classes are offered every single day, reciprocal clubs in the US and around the world.
