After a bad experience at the Berkeley BMW service station, I sought out a place to service my mini that will not break my bank account. I found that place at Metric Motors. They went above and beyond to take care of the car I love so much. Thanks, Metric Motors.

Jose and the team are honest, helpful mechanics. I was quoted over $900 to fix an engine sensor in my Volvo. The wait time was about 2 weeks. Metric Motors replaced the sensor with a Volvo factory piece for $300. Even better, the repair was done in one day. I've brought my car back multiple times and always receive great service. Jose is always reachable by text and can usually get you in within a day or two. Highly highly recommend!

Nice staff. Knowledgable. Trustworthy. Reasonable prices. Twice now over the past couple years I've brought in two different cars and they repaired them for free, one for something simple, the other one not so. With the latter, he (Jose) wasn't sure the computer reprogramming of the car would work, so he didn't charge me.

They ordered a part for me and in the mean time the problem resolved itself with a new battery.
I offered to pay for the part but they graciously declined and said they would hold it for a week and then return it if my status held.

You know the business is reliable and trustworthy when they don’t try to rip you off . Lol
I took my BMW for annoying alarm on dash board . After checking the car without charge, Jose said this is nothing dangerous and assured ok to drive without being it replace right away .
I really appreciated his honesty and all of my friends who own BMW bring their cars here and are very happy about the service.

I used to come here and the service was timely and fantastic. However, in the last two weeks I tried to schedule an appointment for an oil change. Left voicemails and even texted with absolutely no response. Supposedly changed ownership? Regardless, how hard is it to respond to someone. Simple yes or no to my request for the appointment should not take more than few seconds. Not coming here again.

Metric Motors changed ownership a couple of years ago as of Sep 2023. I've taken my Porsche Cayenne to Metric for 10 yrs+ with Andy, Joe & Joel being exceptional. Although, new owner, Jose, seems nice - I've had 2 nightmare services under his watch and the business is being run terribly...very sad. I've lost all confidence in basic yearly service checks, additional mechanical need to be completed and documented and I reported back to Jose my concerns and he still never got back to me! Can anyone suggest another great mechanic firm for Porsche, Audi's...?

I had a great experience at Metric Motors. I came to José with a coolant issue and he helped me diagnose issue with coolant pump and get a good deal on new tires. He was responsive, honest and overall was a really great value. Will be going to this shop in future for any car needs.

I highly recommend Metric Motors to all BMW owners who are tired of the runaround and blatant cash grabs for which the dealership service centers are infamously known.I recently took my BMW 328i in for service and new brakes before embarking on a drive across the U.S. The final cost for everything was $800+ less than what the dealership quoted. It was also completed in less than a day. The mechanic, Jose, was extremely courteous, knowledgeable (he even sent videos showing me the wear on the brakes), and went above and beyond to make sure I had a road ready car for the drive.I hope that others will bring their business to Metric Motors for all of the German auto service and repair needs.
