We used to live near the Fillmore/Haight Lo Cost Meat Market, before the landlord raised the rent and chased him out.( Haha, it wasn't rented for a long time.) This butcher is phenomenal! He is so proud of the meat he buys and will answer all your questions. Did it smell like meat? Yes, duh! They were generous cutting off the fat before weighing the meat. Go there to get real meat and poultry at honest prices. So glad I found this, I will drive to this location now that I know where he is. Support small business owners, it is vital to our economy.

My boyfriend has been coming here for about 2 years now. He likes the quality and especially the cuts (no too thick) of the steaks. He also likes the chicken legs. I've enjoyed many of the meals made from the meat purchased here. Our only complaint is how unfriendly the counter staff is...never a "hello" and never a "thank you" or any other gesture. It feels unwelcoming and May even boarder on feeling a bit hostile. It's never a nice experience and TBD if we continue to ship here...which stink b/c the meat is good.

I have been shopping at this market for several months this year. I am happy with their products. Their prices are good even thought prices have been spiking up recently. My only complain is the attendant at this market. I find him unfriendly and rude. I have finally decided to shop some other place in search of a more pleasant customer experience. Bye, Bye!
