I just wanted to put in a good word for Karen! She is delightful and really made my visit to the shop the friendliest of any visit I’ve had in sf. This card shop has amazing cards - and a huge selection. You can find really original funny cards, special occasion, thank you notes, all for fair prices, and you are supporting a small business. Nothing but good experiences every time I come here.

My friend and I wanted to check this store out because we saw a lot of cute merchandise. I barely stepped one foot into the store and this elderly white woman came running to the door screaming "no, no, noo!" while waving her hands & aggressively shutting the door on me. The store was packed with customers and they looked just as startled as us. My friend was behind me who is Caucasian and as soon as we turned around and the owner saw my friend she opened the door and completely changed her attitude saying "we're open tomorrow 10-8." The owner then returned to help her customer calmly who also appeared to be Caucasian. I felt completely discriminated against because I am a woman of color. Looking at past reviews, the owner definitely seems to be racist/bias to people of color.

I have walked past this shop and today was the first time I walked and went inside. I needed to purchase sympathy cards. They have a large selection of occasions cards. Very friendly and comfortable place to browse. Support small businesses in North Beach.

I visited this store yesterday hoping to find just the right souvenir for my son. I found exactly what he wanted and then some! The lady that assisted me was great, helpful, and had the most adorable personality. My only complaint is I didn't get longer to look around, due to our Uber showing up! If you're looking for the perfect SF trinket to take back home, this is a must visit!The best part, you can stop by neighboring Stella's for a cannoli.

Extremely rude employee who created an uncomfortable experience here. I stumbled in about 30 minutes before closing to quickly browse the card shelf in the front of the store. The employee, possibly the owner, made a snarky remark when I entered. I clarified that the shop was still open, pointing to the hours listed on the door. She grumpily replied, "Yeah I know." (The tone is a bit uncalled for, dont you think?) and then gruffly asked if I've shopped here before. I responded, and she rudely shouted, "Huh?!". I politely repeated myself, and that was the end of our conversation.The employee not only fails to treat customers with respect, but she also demonstrated a lack of basic manners. It goes without saying that I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere.Note: she's an elderly white woman and I'm a person of color who very obviously isn't white-passing. Knowing the racial attitudes of folks in this neighborhood, I can't confidently say that this wasn't a factor in the way she treated me, which made this an even more unpleasant experience.

Every time I'm in North Beach, I make a stop at Lola Card Stop (no pun intended) and stock up on cards. They have unique cards that you can't find in the other stores. They are so friendly and this little shop is so cute to boot. In a world where everything moves fast, it's nice to know there are still authentic ways of sending love through cards.

I stop by one of these shops every year that I’m in town and it has the best San Fran souvenirs that are cute and fun and not like your typical sidewalk stuff. I’ve gotten an adorable pin every year and always grab a sticker for my guitar case. This particular one has such a nice staff and I had such a nice time!!

I casually dropped in here today and got myself a very nice Zodiac Birth Month Mini Stone Pack, which came with an Amethyst stone and clear crystal. The lady at the register was very nice and friendly. I may come back here to get some more mini stone packs for my friends.
