I stumbled onto this place while walking around near the hotel. This baguette was better than a $50 dinner I paid at the hotel! Some of the best places tend to be where only locals go. Affordable, get your Banh Mi and walk around as this place isn’t the nicest to enjoy the food lolParking: Good luck finding parking lol

It's open at the moment!I like to stop here before moving around the city, as it's right next to a BART/MUNI stop. The sandwiches are solid with some hidden gems here (chai tea, doughnuts)

I came here on 5/28/22 and the man at the counter did not want to give me 1 napkin. We were out eating Ice Cream and my daughter had gotten dirty so I came to this place to ask for a napkin and the man said they didn’t have any napkins. He told me he can sell me a box of Kleenex tissue paper for $5.99. The man was clearly stingy and if he wasn’t willing to give me one piece of napkin then don’t bother giving them your service.

Just ordered the classics… Vietnamese coffee/ pork sandwich… both making me want to move back to San Jose. Way too much ice for $6.50 and the sandwich had the texture but that’s about it. ?

Please don't charge $6.25 for 1/4 iced coffee 3/4 ice. Also. Please don't smoosh a bug with you bare finger on the plexiglass then proceed to make my mediocre sandwich.

No. Just.... no. I had an OK experience here once before with a veggie bahn mi - not stellar but edible - so I thought I'd try them out again when the crazy strong craving for an egg salad sandwich hit me. The egg salad sandwich apparently comes with mustard, pickles and onions on it but I got full attitude for being surprised and dismayed by that and asking only to have the one slice of bread with mustard on it replaced since I could just remove the pickles and onions. Btw, I asked if it came with lettuce while ordering, it would have been a good time to tell me what else it came with! That's not normal for an egg salad sandwich, right? Second, the egg salad is a hard boiled egg barely chopped with zero salt or pepper and a smear of mayo. Lastly, I found a big black hair in my sandwich..... I'm a redhead. Never again.

TERRIBLE attitude by the lady in the front! I do not recommend at all and would give 0 stars if I could. Give your business to the coffee shop next door! They are definitely of better quality and will give you great customer service.

This place is absolute trash. The lady in the front was extremely rude for no absolute reason. Go to the place next door Mo'z, I guarantee you THEY will not disappoint you!

I ended up paying $8.94 for my $6.80 special combination, I think because they charged extra for additional peppers plus there was a mistake with the change. Other than the value I was satisfied with my sandwich. Crusty roll and a generous amount of filling.. Meats undistinguished. The counter staff was a bit surly but I think that may be because of harassment from the street life outside. In sum, this ain't Saigon Sandwich but if I found myself at the corner of fifth and market and needed to get a bahn mi immediately I would come here again.

I went here for my second breakfast in San Fran and it was really good. I had the #4 which is the bbq pork Ban Mi. Great bread. The perfect amount of mayo. The pork had good flavor and my favorite part is always the veggies. They did take the seeds off my slice of jalapeno which I do appreciate. Love the flavor of jalapenos but sometimes those seeds will get cha. The espresso wasnt great. Unlike Daniel's cafe(on Ellis and Powell) the coffee bean here is bitter. I drink my coffee black but this coffee needs a splash of cream and sugar. The glazed donut helped me knock it back. Donut was doughy but slightly crispy on the outside. Pretty good.

I will never come back here. For $6 I've got two burnt small pieces of bread with tomato in between.
