Maggie absolutely crushed it! I had a general idea of what I was looking for in a tuxedo and she helped me nail down the design specifics and finalize the numerous small decisions required for a custom tuxedo. The tuxedo is high quality, fits great, and looks amazing. Plus, Maggie and Krystal are both super fun and knowledgable. Great experience!

Maggie Clarkson is by far the finest fashion and tailor partner this side of the Mississippi! She goes over and beyond to make sure that you receive the best of care and attention to the even the smallest detail of your fit. I’ve been a client for years and don’t ever plan on leaving. The clothes including the suit jackets with personal embroidery are a perfect fit for any occasion.

My absolute favorite tailor. I highly recommend knot standard. Not only do they have fantastic formalwear, but their lines of casualwear are fashionable and fun. They just came out with a new denim line. I get everything from my tuxedos to my weekend jogger pants.

I went here with my now-husband to get his suit for our destination wedding (this past Sept). We have never had a custom suit made in the U.S. before, and have only gone through the experience once ever for that matter, so we really didn't know what we were doing lol. He had some ideas in mind and so I started the search online. Only a few stores got back to me, and fewer still were able to do what we were looking for, and Knot Standard was one of them.
There was a small hiccup in our initial experience - when trying to book online, the confirmed appointment time didn't match what was actually requested (tried more than once and it was always off by an hour). In the end, it was easy enough to email the consultant (Maggie) to fix the issue.
We met with Maggie a few times over a few months. The initial meeting was getting an idea of what Knot Standard offers, prices, timelines, etc. Throughout the meeting, we felt informed but didn't feel overwhelmed (for the most part) nor pressured to continue the process if it turned out not to be what we needed.
The following meetings were consultations + advice, measurements, fittings, and any adjustments. Maggie is very experienced and was able to answer our million questions! In the end, he chose a blue-ish purple fabric (from Italy IIRC) for a 3-piece tux. We were even able to bring a piece of home with us to our destination wedding via a hidden embroidery of our cats on his inner pocket. He also bought some custom-fitted dress shirts.
Pickup was a breeze and included a couple garment bags and a pocket kerchief.

I had a fantastic experience getting my wedding suit made at Knot Standard. Maggie and Krystal are amazing - they took the time to get to learn about me, my vibe, our event vibe, and provided incredible guidance & attention to detail throughout the process.
I am the type of person who after one alteration would have said -- "this looks amazing! let's take it home", but maggie's attention to detail encouraged me to make a few slight tweaks to have the suit fit perfectly for the big day. Thank you for everything!

mentioned stylist. They were both very educational, patient and offered honest feedback in helping me choose colors, fabric, buttons etc. I actually had fun shopping!

Maggie and her team provide a great experience for an otherwise stressful process - getting a suit for a wedding.No one could have told me how much of a difference a fitted suit makes. For the first time in my life people said I looked like a celebrity at my wedding. Maggie will help you pick a style and provide frank advice as to what is in style. I ended up getting all my groomsmen custom suits with nicknames on the collar and a unified theme sewed into the inner pockets. They turned out amazing. We looked amazing. All my groomsmen have brand new tailored suits they can use forever. It was the perfect gift for them. Maggie brought us all in for several fittings to make sure it all looked perfect and even brought light food and drinks so we could have a great time every time we went to their swanky SF office. I would recommend this to anyone for your own suit or your wedding. My good friend was so impressed he did the same for his wedding. If you've never had a tailored suit before, I know it may seem expensive and daunting, but trust me, its worth it. Especially at Knot Standard.

MAGGIE!! - ordered black dinner jacket - came back blue. In November 2022 ordered suit to get the winter promotion of a free outerwear garment - I got the suit alright but, apparently the coat was a false leader cause it still hasn't arrived. It's now August 2023. Maggie's a disaster! So the coat was a pea coat with epaulets and other details - comes back a plain pea coat. So as with all my other orders, it has to go back to manufacturer. So, if you got an occasion you might want to pass on Maggie - she writes things down but apparently doesn't look at her notes when relaying the order so (in my experience) things get missed. I offered to return the suit and take a store credit, since I bought the suit because it came with a free coat - a 2 for1! But of course giving up (a sale, commission?) for the sake of keeping a customer is out of the question.P.S. - I'm awaiting the crap reply about "store policy" blah, blah, blah as if any reputable store's policy is to dishonor it's promotion.
