I recently went to Janene's to try on dresses for the first time. They can get quite busy on the weekends so I'm glad I arrived as soon as they opened on a Sunday. Nora assisted me throughout the entire process and was extremely helpful. She had me choose specific dresses I wanted to try on and she also chose one which I ended up loving. She talked me through the entire process and gave me information on how dresses would end up being altered to give me a better picture of how a dress would actually end up fitting. I would highly recommend Janene's and Nora!

I created a yelp account just to write about how incredible my service at Janene's this week was! When I visited their sample sale last week without an appointment, I was extremely nervous for my first time bridal shopping. My stylist Austin was a true gem - so thoughtful, kind and patient while I tried things on. They even helped me accessorize to further envision what the full look would be. As a gay bride, Austin was so inclusive and helpful. As long as Austin is working here, I would strongly recommend this shop to others!

This review is for Bianca. After trying all the major bridal boutiques in Bay Area, I met with Bianca and had the most amazing experience. She was charming, relatable, and hyped me up dress after dress. I wasn’t rushed nor did I feel pressured into a sale.

Great service and selection! I went with my friend to Janene's Bridal Boutique over the weekend when they had their sample sale. We came across their sample sale ad online noting drop-ins were welcomed, so we planned to arrive early 10:00 a.m. Located on the 3rd floor, you first must ring to enter the building, however we kept getting a busy line. A gentleman who worked at the men's department saw my friend and I, and let us both in and escorted us to the third floor. He was really nice and it was great that he was so attentive.There were over 10 rows of dresses of different sizes and variety. ALthough they were quite busy with other guests, the staff took a moment to pause, acknowledge us and asked to wait which was not a problem for us. We went on the last day of the sample sale, and the staff worked with my friends budget and we ultimately left saying yes to a dress.I wish I could remember the person who helped us to extend the gratitude I have for her and acknowledge her ability to juggle multiple guests while still providing incredible service and offering recommendations. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. As was the other person who worked there.Lots of dressing room stations and options to test drive the dress

Came here for the off-the-rack Black Friday sale with my friend who is getting married next year. There were some minor hiccups but overall it was a good experience. Parking: there is a parking next to the building but it does cost $10/hr --we were only expecting to be there for a couple hours. I would try to find street parking if you come early enough, but it is located in a busy shopping district so good luck with that. First hiccup was that the machine that buzzed us in did not work, mind you were on the clock for parking and it took a good 20 minutes before we got into the building. We didn't have an appointment because it was a sale, so there were many attendants helping out a number of clients. We were given a small bag with 3-4 clips and we were told that you just put a clip on the dress you would like to try on and someone will come help you put it on. We ended up trying on a lot of dresses and our attendant was great. To be transparent it was quite difficult to find her to help our friend try on the dress because she was busy helping other customers --to which we understand, but that definitely took bit more time than we expected. We were able to get a really good deal on not one but two dresses and we were super happy about it. We were also given a lot of information on tailoring and how we can take the dresses to the Alameda location for tailoring and alterations.

Before my engagement, I would peak outside Janene's Bridal Boutique in Alameda. I was drawn by their beautiful floral décor and beautiful dresses gleaming through its crystal glass walls. I knew I would one day visit Janene's Bridal Boutique for my big day. About a year later, I got engaged...Overwhelmed by body insecurities and past experiences in finding a dress for any occasion, I dreaded and delayed going wedding dress shopping, but then I remembered Janene's Bridal Boutique. I gathered the courage and went in on a whim just to ask when I should do my shopping. Respecting my ($1,300 budget, I was directed to their SF location. Soon I gathered my mom and my girlfriends to join me.I prayed to be paired with a great stylist rep where we could connect and simply keep it real.***My wish came true, I was assigned to Chae.*** She and her team gave us such a warm welcoming upon our arrival and throughout its completion of our appointment. I immediately felt that I could trust Chae and I am SO glad I did. She cleared up some misconceptions I had about dresses and body types. She gave me the liberty to try any dress I wished. Once I picked out my dresses, I began to try them on and freely speak my mind. Chae was receptive, she gave me solid advice.***I was super lucky to find my dream dress on the first try.***As we speak, my alterations are being done at its Alameda Boutique and the alterations are also being handled by Chae; she is also an alterations specialist. I look forward to going to my fittings. If it wasn't for Chae's awesomeness, I don't think that I would have had the magical experience in finding my wedding dress. She is truly a kind and beautiful person one can meet. Chae, please receive a heartfelt tHaNk yOu!

I went to their Black Friday sample sale and I finally found THE DRESS! They had about 20 gowns at 500 dollars the rest of the dresses were 1000. They were all sample dresses in great condition! Most of them were size 12 and three also had some racks with plus size dresses. We were like 5 future brides trying I dresses at the same time but it didn’t feel crowded and the stylists were helping all of us very efficiently. It didn’t feel packed. ? Norah and a new lady were super helpful. I showed Norah what I was looking for and she helped me find some nice dresses. I actually ended up buying the first I tried on. I had fun and I would definitely recommend it for anyone trying to find nice dresses for 1000 or less since it’s really hard to find good-quality dresses at that price! They were not at all pushy about trying to sell dresses and I felt that I could be honest about the budget I had in mind. Btw you can park on the street about 2 blocks away and pay with the PayByPhone app. Thanks for everything! ?

I had an amazing experience at Janene's Bridal Boutique in San Francisco. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit. They made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. The selection of dresses is not only extensive but also absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend anyone in search of the perfect bridal sample gown to visit Janene's Bridal Boutique. I had a wonderful experience shopping for my dress here and would highly recommend it to any of my friends getting married in the future. The environment wasn't stressful at all and they had an amazing selection. Norah helped me try on dresses and was fantastic. She was extremely friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. You can really tell she enjoys her job. At no time did I feel rushed or like I had been there too long. I can only buy one wedding dress but wish I could keep going back to support their business. This happened to be the first shop I went to and I was luck enough to leave with my dress the same day.(Added Bonus - The employees don't work on commission)

Stopped by on a whim with my mom just expecting to look around but ended up finding my dream dress!I would highly recommend this boutique to anyone like me who is nervous about getting stressed/overwhelmed while dress shopping. I don't usually do well with decisions when feeling pressured or rushed, but the team here were so welcoming and helpful, the shopping experience was fun and memorable, not even a little stressful. I'm very grateful to Ron in particular for your kindness and patience! There were plenty of style options on the floor to try on without being too oversaturated and the dresses are such good deals I didn't feel limited by my $1500 budget at all. I will say that this entire showroom is all sample dresses so sizing options seem pretty limited. They also made it super simple when I bought the dress and gave me really clear helpful directions about how, when, and where to get it tailored based on my date.Thank you for helping me find my dream dress!

I went to Janene's Bridal SF after searching at over half a dozen other bridal stores/boutiques and with the large wedding dress selection at Janene’s, I was able to find the PERFECT wedding dress. They were patient when I tried on several dresses and listened to my likes/dislikes with certain designs. When I found the dress, since the shipping date was going to be too close to my wedding to account for alterations also, they sold me the floor model (that was in near perfect condition) so that I could get going on alterations right away to make the dress perfect for me. If you are in the search for a wedding dress, Janene's is definitely worth a visit as they have all types of dresses, styles, price ranges, designers, and are very easy to work with!

If you're wedding dress shopping in the Bay Area, this is truly the spot to go. Me and my bridal party live in San Francisco so were ideally looking for a place in the city but Janene's Alameda location kept coming up in every search for recommended bridal shops. We're so glad we shopped here.The service was great and the selection was massive. I ended up buying my dress here and we had a very helpful rep for our appointment and added on a few bottles of champagne. It was such a fun experience with my girls and I highly recommend Janenes if you need a wedding dress.

From start to finish, Ron gave us an extraordinary experience. He was very attentive, professional, & gave amazing suggestions. I definitely give this bridal shop a 10/10.
