What an amazing and accommodating staff. From arrival to departure, the front desk team were gracious and caring. The breakfast restaurant staff were thoughtfully diligent in making sure our morning meal was perfect. What a great hidden gem in the area.

Location is great, even though is close to shady districts of San Francisco. Parking is 75$ per night — ridiculous. There is cheaper parking available around the hotel, however the one we used didn’t let us take car for a day and return it back. So we had to use public transportation for a day.
Some receptionist are confusing, and don’t do the best job of asking questions.
We requested a refrigerator to the room and while they didn’t have one available, personal were sweet and understanding and allowed us to use the minibar.

Best hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. Everyone was friendly and super helpful. Building was dated, but in excellent condition with loads of personality. Centrally located for all the things we wanted to do while in the city. Restaurant breakfast was delicious. Bar food and drinks were excellent as well. Great experience!!

Anything under the 3rd floor is terrible. Got views of HVAC units and walls

Hotel Adagio, yes comfortable, but a hotel about price gouging, good but meager breakfast for an absurd price, we are only served one plate for 25 dollars, compare normal hotels you can't get more or else you have to pay extra, impossible to have a parking space unless you pay an exorbitant amount for parking 75 dollars per day, a real budget!!! Not even a kettle in the room having to go downstairs to fill hot water.
On the other hand, it offers coffee in the waiting room, a positive point, the rooms and bathrooms are really good, nothing to say about that.
The first day we had a woman at the bar, very professional and attentive with good responsiveness to our requests.
On the other hand, one evening, a bartender didn't understand our order and didn't serve us at all, and this allowed a mockery with customers at the bar, unacceptable.
I give 3 stars for the comfortable rooms and excellent room cleaning 👍
Rooms: Nice
Nearby activities: Two nice pubs opposite, the rest is Dead
Safety: Lots of homelessness on the streets
Walkability: Okay
Food and drinks: Good but very expensive
Noteworthy details: City center location

Parking at 85 a night. Yes it's valet. Is there any other option they provide? No.
Then there's the room. It's small and the hearing and coming elements are exposed.
There's no patio. Window views are a bit frustrating as it's just graffiti everywhere anyways.
There is no possibility for a room upgrade because any upgrades are locked by sales so that the receptionist cannot honor any upgrades.
Pluses, a cheap glass of champagne at check in.
Despite a $30 a day resort grew for the privilege of them running hamster wheels 24/7 to power our Wi-Fi access, we get to have a $30/day credit for their bar.
One other thing that was a bit frustrating is that we travel with medical equipment. Usually there are plenty of places for it. A nightstand doesn't work. It really highlighted how much of our space went to their sensors booby trap fridge and snack bar. It was a half but getting that out of the way gave us plenty of room for the machine and all the medical supplies. Unfortunately, staff are terrified of handling anything that plugs into a wall outlet so we had to handle it ourselves.
Hoping this stay gets better but I won't hold my breath. Will try to update this after our stay.

Oh, and a note for anyone getting deals from reseller sites that Marriott sells their rooms to: Do not book Marriott with the reseller sites. Marriott will not apply any of your visit to your Bonvoy account. Stick with other hotels instead.
I've really noticed that Marriott also is becoming a corporate fine print nightmare. There are so many levels of added fine print between corporate, regional, and the hotel themselves. Additionally, their best rate guarantee relies on their BRG agent's ability to find a deal which of course means whatever they want despite their ultimate ability to look up any reservation anywhere anytime. My experience over the past few years has constantly reaffirmed that everyone else, even Airbnb, can do anytime better than Marriott whether it's the location, the service, the price, the guarantees, you name it, Marriott will not deliver.

Location is great, rooms are very clean, location is in fun downtown area. Tuan, the bellman, at the front desk is the best and very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again!

Tuan is the best bellman I have ever met! I loved staying at the Adagio! Tuan was always cheerful and had a champagne ready when I hit the champagne bell. I would stay at this hotel again just for Tuan!

Nice location, close to union square, services is ok, but I can give recommendations for Tuan, this guy is so awesome. Good is not that bad but it's expensive, and the service in the bar and restaurant is good.

Didn't feel comfortable at all the entire time and way to expensive! The charges they charge you is ridiculous! Front desk people are horrible!! (Very rude). The hotel should be sued for how ridiculous expensive they are!!

This was a last minute decision to stay in San Francisco for one evening of our trip. This hotel was absolutely perfect. The location worked out great, as we had dinner reservations nearby and it was close to walk to a lot of the spots we wanted to visit. Staff were next level, incredibly friendly and helpful with directions, advice, and ideas. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. We will definitely be staying here on a return trip.

The front desk people here are incredible. Cesar went above and beyond for me, and he is literally the nicest person ever. I am so grateful for how nice everyone who works here has been to me
