“Super Sweet & Helpful!! Gave me a good price/ discount for a full sound bowl set the sound bowl + striker + cushion! Definitely would recommend this lovely shop!!”
“Post.script is the perfect spot when you're looking for a unique gift for a special friend or just browsing for something fun for yourself. Tucked away off of busy Fillmore Street, there is a wide range of offerings packed into this small spot. The selections are well-curated and can be both practical and wonderfully decorative at the same time. During a recent trip, I picked up several of the Baggu brand reusable bags, as they carry a good selection of these bags. I also found some lovely glassware and whimsical geometric coasters for the perfect birthday gift. The staff was also helpful and courteous, as they have been on all my trips there. Along with checking out the fun gift cards and writing instruments, one can spend a lot of time perusing the different and interesting selections of hair accessories, as well as attractive items for decorating the home. The variety of items and reasonable price points make post.script a spot not to be missed.”

“If you haven't stopped into Jessica's shop on Union Street, do yourself a favor and do it soon. It's not just a great spot for beautiful and unique gifts, but the know-customers-by-name small town vibe is just fantastic.”
“We saw people do this on Real housewives and decided to give it a try and we absolutely loved it. The staff was so helpful and the studio had so many delicious and luxurious scents. Such a fun couple activity on the weekend and very affordable! 10/10.”
“Yury did an amazing job rewiring two very complicated, vintage European chandeliers for me, as well as making some smaller fixes to some treasured pendant lamps. Super quick, professional, and friendly. We're so lucky to have Yury in San Francisco!”

249 9th St, San Francisco“Such a great experience shopping with Richard. Got a custom purple sofa that was a perfect fit for my space. It was more affordable than most new sofas, better quality than anything I could find online. And the best part was supporting a local business.Cannot recommend Zozi’s loft enough!”

1737 Post St #365, San Francisco“Wonderful items in the store! My wife and I got very nice soup spoons!
The only reason for 4 out o 5 stars though, is the wannabe security guard there following us everywhere in the store, thinking we might steal something. Even after we purchased our spoons, he kept staring at us and followed us out... don't make your customers feel on guard...”
“Exactly the classic China Rain scent I have been looking everywhere for since Terranova stopped producing it. Shipped quickly and beautifully packaged. Now that I know the level of quality I will be buying many oils. Can't find this stuff in rural Colorado but as an Ojai, CA native I am so glad I came across this shop (in a reddit discussion)! Thank you! I ordered a couple sampler packs as well so will leave reviews on those when they get here! Can't wait! Only advice is to sell on etsy if you aren't already as I am sure others are looking for this particular China Rain or other Terranova discontinued scents. I ordered many others off there with great disappointment each time. So glad Life is in my life now!”
“Inga was a great help in selecting fixtures for an entire home while we were preparing it for sale last year. She made what could have been an overwhelming task so much easier, with her expert suggestions. I know from experience there is a lot that can go wrong with selecting light fixtures... from not enough light, to wrong scale, and more. Inga kept us from making costly mistakes, and the project turned out great. The customer service was excellent, and there's nothing like being able to see the actual fixtures in person at the store before you order them. Inga helped us pick out at least 12 sets of lights, and we didn't have to return or change any of them. When a glass shade was broken for one of the fixtures, she got us a replacement quickly. I highly recommend using Inga's design services. For a larger project like ours, she might visit your site in person. Otherwise, you will need to send her photos.”

479 Castro St, San Francisco“Watch Repair - Battery Replacement - Cliffs Variety thanks!!Trying to find a watch repair shop in the city is hard. I needed my fossil watch’s battery replaced and it needed a special tool to crack her open without scratching the watch. I go to cliffs and the nicest guy takes my watch and 5 minutes later the battery is replaced and she’s ticking! If you need a new watch battery go to cliffs! It was $5! Talk about service affordability. Thank you cliffs associate!”
“I had so much fun in the class I got a membership. I learned a lot and having student hours was really helpful to get practice. I’m excited to continue learning at Mel’s!”
“Greg and his team at Design plus are some of the best people to work with on the west coast. Always prompt and responsive while providing phenomenal expertise. Highly recommend stopping by and checking them out! Thank you for the 10 years of doing business together!”
“10/4/2024: I'd been looking forward to visiting Succulence for months, ever since my plant collection exploded with a particular fondness for succulents. I happened to be in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, so decided to finally check them out. Unfortunately, when I arrived I discovered a karate school at the address listed for Succulence. A lady inside told me they had been closed since sometime in June.
The owners have responded to other comments, stating that despite the closure of their brick and mortar store you can still contact them regarding workshops and other events. Closing a business is incredibly difficult, and I'm glad to hear they're still up and running (even if it's at a reduced capacity). To those leaving negative reviews because they arrived to find the store closed: stop. For you it's a minor inconvenience, but for the owners it's so much more. That said, it would be helpful if they added a banner on the website's homepage letting customers know the physical store closed. I wish them the best with their future ventures, and hope I get the opportunity to visit another Succulence location someday.”
“I am thrilled with the selection here. Such a great variety and quality. There are interesting pieces that are actually still useful. They are also authentic in how they are sourced.
I’m not sure on their return policy but at least you are able to hold and check out the item before purchase!
The is exactly what I want in a home goods store.”
“Absolutely adore this shop! Fantastic service, beautiful, healthy plants. Purchased soil and it is so dark and smells like earth should!I especially love that pet friendly plants are marked (with adorable paw prints) as both my cat and dog like to graze if they somehow manage to get up to the plants.”
“My favorite gift shop in the city. Excellent selection of eco conscious gifts along with practical daily use items. There also carry tasty locally made jams, preserves and candles. Service is A+++”
“This boutique always has the cutest items from furniture to knick knacks & mostly San Francisco branded or locally made just like the store owner Dona, born & raised San Franciscan homegirl who loves sharing her love for the City & love of dogs giving all the pups a little treat the neighborhood dogs love coming in as much as their owners love shopping here #supportsmallbusiness #supportlocal #homegrown”
“The entire process of purchasing our new sleeper sofa was seamless. Even long distance, Eric was extremely helpful in assisting me in completing the customized order and setting up shipping across the country. Trust this business! They deliver!”
“Paxton Gate is such an incredible and curious shop. I have so many items in my elementary classroom that I use to help teach kids about certain aspects of zoology, dinosaurs, and the natural world. They offer incredibly unique items that any curious patron, be they adult or guest, would love and be fascinated by. I tell everyone I know about this company and browse their site often looking for new and exciting things. They take so much care in their packaging that everything I have received arrive in perfect condition.”
“Absolutely beautiful copper vases, pitchers and bowls, and all for very reasonable prices. The co-owners are also very friendly and nice. Overall a wonderful store to stop by, and likely find some great items. A treasure!”
“We had nothing but fantastic service by way of Allister Fong at B and B. Choosing furniture can be a challenge and Allister was always helpful and patient. I only have praise for our experience.”
“Such a cute little shop for, as the store window implies, bed and bath stuff! Towels, linens galore. I stopped by for the candles I saw from passing by. Nice spot to pick up gifts”
“This place has been so many things throughout time. In the 70's it was an apartment/art gallery, the 80's thru to 2000 it was various kinds of shops from the arcane to jewelry to herbs to magic to comics but it has always been the spot in my old neighborhood that has always been the go-to place to scope out some of the most interesting things that the Haight Ashbury has to offer. It was a complete blessing to pass by here and also go inside the last time I was in San Francisco.”
6AM - 3PM
225 Barneveld Ave, San Francisco“Like a scaled down version of big box home improvement stores... but feels local. You might not get the widest selection of what you're looking for but you'll find what you need. Staff are actually pretty friendly and helpful. I've been to other stores in the city where they get impatient with you if you're not a contractor. Central location was useful when I needed to run to get stuff for home reno projects.”
“I really like this place on the corner of Haight & Ashbury across from the iconic Ben & Jerry's ice cream store. On what is part of the cornerstone of SF culture, this store run by an artist collective acts also as a visitor center for the neighborhood. After visiting this store and seeing their designs I am convinced that the Haight needs to be a bigger part of the tourist scene from the 60's culture to famous nearby homes of Jerry Garcia and Janice Joplin to film scenes from Antman and When a Man Loves a Woman, this store is a wealth of information. But more importantly I think their T-Shirts and other fun stuff make better looking gifts that what I have seen in all my years of living in SF. In fact some stores are beginning to carry their designs. Check it out, inhale the aroma that is the Haight and shop this creative and amazing store. The staff are also very well informed so ask them anything you'd like. Tell all your tourist friends to come here.”
“this has become my favorite plant shop in san francisco. i’m a plant FREAK and i get bored of finding the same basic stuff at TJs and Lowe’s. Many of the more niche plant shops have crazy prices. But COVE has an incredible selection of rare (and rare-ish) houseplants and the owner clearly keeps them in pristine condition. the prices are unbeatable and the selection is so exciting every time i go. i bought a maidenhair fern here and almost a year later it is thriving (see pics). this time i got a GIGANTIC philodendron white princess with 20 leaves larger than my hand for $45!! and a beautiful watermelon peperomia for $34. if you are a bay area planthead and want a better selection of hoyas, alocasias, syngoniums, etc you must check it out!”
“It’s really hard for me to find something I like, even though ZGO has a huge selection. I’ve left empty-handed at least twice before finally finding what I wanted. But the staff has always been incredibly understanding, welcoming, and eager to help! ?”
