A very small store for the serious anime- Japanese manga type figurines/ models and other collectables and some lower cost stuff for kids/ collectors on a budget. It's one of the few I know in the general bayarea that specializes in the trade and one the few that offer some of the original Japanese heroes collectable stuffing around SF

Part collector's dream, part art exhibit. Heroes Club (or Art of Toys), is a figurine specialist store featuring extremely rare collectible figures and statues. Primarily focusing on Kaiju, Kamen Rider, and Horror figures, you'll find some of the biggest, most detailed, and hard to find statues on (and off) the market. From cheap less than $20 retro gachapon figures you can put on your work desk to over $1000 one-of-a-kind detailed pieces that will become the centerpiece of your home. If you love Japanese culture, Art of Toys has your back. Celebrating Godzilla, Ultraman, Sentai, Capcom, and more! They also have American IP products such as DC, Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney, but if you want rare goods from Japan, Art of Toys have you covered. If you are into more gruesome and macabre, the store features both original statues as well as statues from some of your favorite horror artists and series. I could go on about all the assortment of niche collectors items Art of Toys posses, but then this review would take you an hour to read. A big dissuading point is the prices on some of these pieces, but if you're going to a museum and try to buy a Picasso with what you have in your back pocket, you're going to be disappointed. These figures are well made, detailed, and rare, with many of them being made in batches that only hit the double digits. If spending $200 or more on a deluxe, vintage Godzilla figure freaks you out, then that's ok. They do sell cheaper, plastic figures which still look awesome and you can play with them without feeling like you're manhandling a work of art. More importantly, browsing is completely free, and Art of Toys feels like a museum with all the imported items behind glass cases. Heroes Club (or Art of Toys) is worth a visit if you're into niche media or just want to see some crazy cool stuff.

Amazing. Lovely people running the store and much to learn (and buy ?). Make sure you go if you’re any kind of fan of collectible toys. A gem, and apparently been there over 30 years ??

Awesome store!! It’s like a museum of all of these great Kaiju and Sentai dioramas. It’s crazy to think that the owner has made all of these themselves! I was really impressed, and enjoyed looking at all of the ultra man, Godzilla, and Kamen Rider models. They have some gotcha items for sale, but they have done a good job identifying which one you will get in the box. Overall highly recommend.

A long-standing shop for models from various movies, mostly Japanese kaiju (Godzilla, Ultraman, etc.). A classic place for those who are into media like that.

Note: This is a VERY SPECIFIC kind of store. These are plastic figures taken to the level of fine art. I absolutely love to come in here and just look at the level of fine detail that the artist is able to achieve.Think of it as Woot Bear but much older and specifically focused on Kaiju and horror movies. So if you want to walk away with a one of a kind piece that you're going to display in a case, this is for you. Even if you're not buying, I'd recommend just dropping in to have a look, as there's very few places in the world like this.

Got myself a $1000+ custom statue that I have always wanted. After inspecting it there were 2 hairline cracks on the arm and neck, who knows maybe it was from shipping. But what I was really upset about was the finish of the painting and resin. There were way too many bumps and rough areas that was not sanded properly. It looked very rushed, literally some areas felt and looked like unsanded wood. Also, almost every area had lint inside the varnish and some tiny splash of paint on areas where it should not be. Overall very dissappointed. It looks great from far distance but as you get closer it's not worth the high cost. Giving it a 2 star since communication was good at acquiring it, too bad I can't return, no more customs for me.

Really neat store with lots of toys and books. The cool thing is if you buy a mystery box and don't like it, you can swap out with the one that's outside of the shelf! Awesome! Street parking only!

As you walk into Soap Plant Wacko you are given a little speech; masks are required at all times, keep shopping to 30 minutes & no cash. There is hand sanitizer provided and the aisles are blocked off to keep customers flowing.

Robin is the BEST! His work is very skilled and he is as kind as they come. With such a great selection of figures, you want to buy everything he has. I highly recommend coming to his shop and showing support.
