933 Mason St, San Francisco“Thank you North Beach team! The studio is always immaculate, and credit to the entire team for creating a warm and supportive environment. The schedule offers many options, the challenges constantly mix it up, and the personal data integration is seamless, allowing me to track my progress. Orangetheory has quickly become a staple of my weekly routine with its combination of cardio, strength, and heart rate-based training. Shout out to Riley, Lexi, Molly, and the talented team that makes this such a welcome experience in our neighborhood!”

222 Columbus Ave #220, San Francisco“Tribe is the best!
We started with the six-week transformation and haven't looked back. Tribe's philosophy on health, mixed with the semi-private and class rotation, has been the most significant factor in regaining confidence and control of my overall wellness.
Each coach is fantastic - they are knowledgeable in their craft and pros at balancing the fine line of motivation and holding me and my partner accountable.
Beyond all of that, a huge factor in making Tribe magical is the community they have built - I've met the nicest people who feel like they will be genuine friends. I don't cancel on my classes because I want to see these people and commit to myself.
I want to keep this place as my little secret, but I won't. You're welcome”
“They have the most friendly and responsible staff. I accidentally left my ID at the front counter and I forgot about it. They called to tell me they held it for me and let me know when they'd be available. Thanks Brooke!”

175 De Haro St, San Francisco“I took a class here last week for the first time and I really enjoyed it! Great class overall. The pace was really manageable and I didn't feel overwhelmed. I'm not someone who does a lot of crossfit or super heavy lifting so the pace was ideal for me. The AMRAP was tough! But all worth it in the end. I will definitely be going to classes here again :) Thank you Rachel!”
“Not one for reviews, but I have to say, it's really, really good!I've become a big fan of this place and I'll be coming back often.Friendly staff and great gym equipment.”
“Being a part of the Punch King Fitness community since January has been amazing!? Going to PFK on a regular basis has helped me meet my fitness and health goals. As a re-starter to working out, I was able to learn quickly and keep up! The classes have a good variety of different exercises. The gym is super clean with great equipment. Ian and King are amazing people, the folks I’ve met at class as great, and I’ve surpassed some milestones I didn’t know I needed to pass! In particular, Ian has been very supportive of my goals and helping learn the PFK ropes while pushing myself! My kids are athletes and took a class with me. They are so impressed with me and my progress ??? Signing up for PFK has been a highlight of 2024 and I look forward to getting stronger. ??❤️”

275 Main St, San Francisco“Layla is amazing and very knowledgeable about anatomy. She was very patient and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. This is a great place for people who work at a desk/computer. The manager, Mike, is very helpful and does a great job to make sure everything runs smoothly.”
“Such a great OTF location! The space is kept super clean and there’s a good amount of room in the studio compared to others in the city. The AC is always blasting, which I love during a sweaty workout! Coach Molly and Coach Brice are my favorites for the afternoon classes - they bring such good energy and push me just enough. I also appreciate that they both offer modifications for the floor exercises to make them accessible to all. The front desk staff, especially Emma and Lucia are super friendly and are building a great community at the studio. I finally feel like I’ve connected to SF since joining this studio last fall. The workout is always going to be great, but this studio really maximizes the experience.”
6AM - 8:30PM
160 Church St, San Francisco“Flagship is the best! I’ve been coming for a few months now and as a newbie to CrossFit style workouts I was worried about being able to keep up with the exercises. But everyone is super supportive and helpful, especially if you’re new. I’m excited to keep coming for years to come!”
6:30AM - 10PM
2863 California St, San Francisco“Had an awesome experience being a member at The Yard during my time in SF! The gym is clean, has friendly staff, and has a great selection of weightlifting equipment. The main draw though is the pod reservations! A lot of gyms in the city are super crowded in the morning and evening, so it is super nice to be able to reserve a pod/rack for yourself at The Yard! I never had a trouble getting a reservation, even during peak hours in the morning. It was great to be able to zone in and have a good workout without having to stress about waiting for equipment.”
“Love the experience, love the work out. All the instructors are great. Anthony was really great this morning and I appreciated his clear communication and positivity !”

201 King St, San Francisco“I found Flagship when I was recovering from an injury and interested in giving CrossFit workouts a try, and the coaches here are amazing! Nikki, Anais, and Liz do a great job of introducing each exercise, and it feels like there's a good amount of personal attention even when the classes are larger. The coaches make sure you feel comfortable with the movements and have the proper form, and help adjust workouts for any injuries. The equipment is really nice and the gym is spacious, so I enjoy coming here to exercise. I like that the workouts are published in advance so I know what I'm getting into, and I also really appreciate that they have multiple membership options, all transparently priced on their website. Joining Flagship was an excellent decision, and I'm looking forward to continuing my fitness journey with them!”
“Loved spinning here! Attended Julia’s frat house hits and had the best time. I would say it was way too hot in the studio but could have just been an issue that day. I left my spin shoes there and one of the employees came into the studio out of hours so I could pick them on my travels out of San Francisco. Thank you so much ☺️”
“Have been going to this gym over a year now. Love how it is never too crowded, staff always friendly, and good music. It’s clean & I already think it’s awesome, even more awesome: they are remodeling the entire gym this month!!! I’m so excited. The gym manager Daniel is great and helped me sign up last year - very glad I joined Live Fit! Love my Polk st location.”

681 4th St, San Francisco“Dropped into Crossfit SOMA this morning and worked out with the 6:30am crew and Coach Kevin. I was so glad to find that the class was structured and Kevin provided guidance on movements throughout. I will definitely drop in here again if I am back in SF!”
“I have been a client of Coach Charlie's for over 3 years now. I've done his group classes and also been a private training client. Charlie is a certified pre and post natal trainer. I attended his group fitness classes up until I was 8 months pregnant and Charlie was able to tailor the class so that I could continue to participate. Maintaining my fitness and strength while pregnant helped me to feel great throughout my pregnancy and made my recovery that much easier. I also started personal training with Charlie 8 weeks post partum. Charlie helped me build up my core from scratch and get me back to burpees and running by the end of my maternity leave.Charlie tailors his workouts to target the areas that women need to work on in order to maintain strength and mobility. I feel so lucky to have found Charlie and the group of amazing women, whom I call friends. Working out with Charlie is not just a good health habit, but the foundation to enable me to have a full and active life for all the years to come. Thanks Charlie!!”
“THIS GYM IS AMAZING!! From the amazing and knowledgeable staff to the exciting and helpful classes - this place has it all. The community this place has created and continues to foster is inspiring to be a part of. This gym has made me feel so supported throughout my fitness journey and I can't sing its praises enough! Come check it out and you'll understand.”
6AM - 10PM
1247 9th Ave, San Francisco“I've been going here since October, and it's one of the best value gyms in the city (by far!). Where else can you find a sub $50/month gym with a bunch of squat racks, machines, weights, etc? I'd definitely consider it the quintessential neighborhood gym. Quite literally has all of the equipment needed for a new comer, yet also satiates the seasoned gym-goer with its 10+ bench and squat racks. Dumbbells go pretty high in weight too. The equipment itself is a bit old/dated, but still entirely functional (remember the price you're paying). There are two floors, the bottom/main one with a bunch of machines, 5 treadmills, bikes, bench/squat racks, etc and the top floor with more cardio machines, a stretching area, punching bag, 4 more bench/squat racks, pull up bars outside, rowing machines, etc. People are truly super nice and approachable. They normally wipe down equipment after using it, and can help you with a spot if needed Highly recommend this gym!”
“Nice and clean local gym with incredibly friendly staff. I was visiting from NY, and was allowed to try the gym with a day pass. As someone who visits SF quite frequently, I think I’ll be coming here more often for affordable day passes.”
“Jason structured our trainings around our personal fitness goals and is an excellent (and patient) teacher -- within just a few sessions, I was confident with workouts I never thought I could be capable of. Instead of a tiny confined area in the middle of a loud chaotic gym at a big box chain, I got to end my workdays at a private training studio seeing the same familiar faces each week. Jason is flexible with scheduling and is overall a great person to spend 2 hours/week with. For anyone looking to get into training & prioritize your wellness, Jason is your guy!”
“I've tried several gyms throughout the city, and Live Fit Inner Richmond by far has had the best customer service experience. The staff are friendly, down to earth, and super knowledgeable. They also offer members a complimentary fitness assessment, which is how I started to work with Christian. From Day 1 he identified areas to improve my lifting technique and offered practical exercises to work into my routine. I decided to continue working with Christian as a trainer and the progress has been phenomenal. He's helped me add 70 lbs to my bench press, have a stronger core, and even work through some lower back issues to safely reimplement squats back into my routine. I would definitely recommend Live Fit as the best gym in the area, and if you're looking for a chill trainer to push you towards your goals then Christian is your guy.”
6:30AM - 8:30PM
674 S Van Ness Ave, San Francisco“I have been coming to Alinea for almost 3 years and have loved every minute! I was brand new to crossfit when I started and the coaches made it so approachable, gave me many options to scale movements I couldn't do, and have really helped me progress. I have gotten so much stronger and faster with their help and will be a member for as long as I am in SF!
The community at Alinea is amazing and I have made so many friends that I see in and out of the gym. There are official social events every few months and you really get to know the other members and coaches, and everyone's families (and dogs!).”
“The overall atmosphere at the OTF is welcoming, and the staffs (incl. Adrienne) are helpful. However, the true standout is coach Simon (from the UK!). His infectious energy and ability to motivate the entire class are remarkable. What sets Simon apart is his personalized approach – he takes the time to observe each member, tailoring his coaching to our individual needs throughout the workout. He also curates an amazing playlist with perfectly timed drops during the all-out runs, pushing me to achieve speeds I didn't think possible. Highly recommend trying out his class!”
“Can’t recommend Todd highly enough. He’s an excellent communicator, trainer and mentor. Total pleasure to work with. Gym is great and stocked with amenities. Five stars”

1920 Bryant St, San Francisco“Come for the killer workouts, stay for the incredible community. 17th Street Athletic Club is unlike any fitness space in San Francisco. Historically, working out has always felt like a chore that was impossible to maintain. It wasn't until I started working out and taking classes here that it all changed for me. Here are a few reasons why: - The instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable, and motivating! The community is LGBTQ+ friendly, which was super empowering for me as a newbie in the fitness space. - There are several membership packages to pick from and they're all fairly priced, especially compared to other gyms in the area. - The workouts are fun and engaging, with classes ranging from 30, 45, and 60 minutes. Take your pick of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), indoor cycling, and strength building classes. - The gym is so sleek and modern that when it's not being used as a gym, it doubles as an event space! 17th Street Athletic Club has hosted workshops, training rides, trivia nights, karaoke, and many other special community-building events (like I mentioned earlier, not your typical gym) TLDR: the gym is beautiful, the equipment is great, but the real magic is the encouraging community that pushes you to go further than you thought possible”
“We had such a wonderful experience with MX3. We did couples training and our trainer helped us get comfortable with weights and good form. She helped us focus on our weaknesses while being mindful of some pre existing medical conditions to keep us safe while training! Highly recommend MX3 to anyone looking into adding personal training to their lifestyle.”
7AM - 1PM 4 - 8PM
2345 Harrison St, San Francisco“I completed the Boxing bootcamp in April 2024. Simon and Angela were amazing instructors. Simon made learning new techniques and combinations fun and easy. Angela brought the pain. (In a good and challenging way) They were attentive to your progress and pushed you when you needed it. I enjoyed every minute of it. The gym culture is friendly and inviting but still puts you to work! I definitely felt the difference in my cardio, conditioning and technique by the end. If you're on the fence I would highly recommend it! It's and excellent experience.”
Open 24 hours
710 La Playa St, San Francisco“Great gym that fits all your needs without feeling overly crowded compared to the typical commercial gyms.Highlights:- less crowded- in a walkable/runnable area for a pre-lift run/warm up- open 24/7 via access code aka healthcare workers who work odd hours (ive been here at 4:30am)- relatively safe and residential neighborhood- owners actually cancel membership when asked haha”
“I've been a member here for over a year and a half, and am a HUGE fan of this gym. The location is great, that whole strip of Clement St. is such a great community. The workouts are really well thought out and put together and the space is clean and well designed. I mostly take the group classes. I like those best for a couple reasons, there is a really fun sense of community and comraderie, plenty of options for different types of workouts and time slots. They switch the workouts up every month so it keeps things challenging and interesting. The trainers are all really good at explaining the exercises and leading the classes. I really like how the classes are paced, keeps me working hard and feeling like I'm maximizing my time in the gym. The workouts are all small groups, 10 people or less, 45 mins long and always leave me a sweaty tired mess.”
“Dropped in while I was travelling through San Fran. Incredibly welcoming team, a fantastic location and awesome gym full of everything you need to get a workout in. A real shame I wasn’t staying longer!! Well done guys 10/10”
