I happened upon this lovely store on my way back to work after running an errand in the area. The manager was very kind and helpful. There was some beautiful music playing when I came in which I assumed was a recording- it was actually a talented guitarist in the back. Unfortunately I couldn't take the guitar I chose with me today but I look forward to getting it this weekend!

This is the place where I always sent my students, and have sold a few guitars on consignment. Great range of choices at all levels - especially for concert level instruments. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Excellent selection of sheet music. I’ve dealt with them for over 40 years.A couple of old reviews are negative because of a bad experience with a sales clerk- those don’t hold onto their jobs for long. At a higher level: we’re all human and have bad days. Was the clerk a jerk or did his dog just die …?One old negative comment was about long delays getting paid for instruments sold on consignment. Beautiful place for any guitarist. It's simply beautiful. They have practically everything you'd need, and the staff there are very nice and knowledgeable.

Some of the nicest staff I've ever met. I told him I was "just browsing" and wasn't planning on buying anything. He kept pulling down interesting and good guitars for me to try. If you need to buy a guitar do it here!

GSP used to be the KING of your guitar-goodies shop when it was on Clement Street Aeons ago. Now, it seems inaccessible being downtown. Traffic with the gentrified influx makes it even worse to get to, park in an ideal spot, and not worry about your car and the goods you left in it.

Do many guitars to choose from. Fenders, Gibsons, Ibanez...... The staff is very knowledgeable. My only quip is the prices. They are on the high side.

Not sure how I didn't know about this shop that's been around since the early 70s but here it is. They have a large selection of acoustics, classicals, and ukuleles. There's a small handful of electrics here too. Full selection of strings and tons of instruction books at the ready. Couple of shop keeps who were friendly enough to me and the others in the small shop. I'll probably come here to get strings (instead of mail ordering from corporate institutions) and would send people here who are looking for the instruments they specialize in.

the house of over priced guitars....... don't fall for this place...... these prices are stuck in the past and very very hi for todays market...... check c-list and reverb...or even amazon b4 u go there

Better prices, selection, and customer service than Guitar Center! The store has amplifiers and other cool accessories that big box stores wont have, while having everything else one would expect of a guitar store. Absolutely worth the visit!

Guitar Solo has great instruments, great gear, a pleasant atmosphere, and a knowledgeable staff. I really like this place.
