I love this place. They have lots of high quality products including well marbled meats, indulgent house made frozen lasagnas, cheeses, wine, crab cakes, and much, much more! And the service is on the same level as a fine dining Italian restaurant.

Feels like old San Francisco, because it IS old San Francisco. Excellent products, meats, wines, cheeses, and basic supplies. I love their bolognese sauce, which you can get frozen and keep around for the nights you don't want to cook. Great sandwiches too. Super nice people.

This place is awesome, bar none; I bought a prime sirloin and some hanger steak and both were excellent. But that thick prime sirloin — wow. We gave it a nice rub with Montreal steak seasoning, grilled it and it was pure perfection. Sure the steaks are expensive, but I appreciate that condiments and other items are very reasonably priced.

#1 My vote for the best cold deli sandwich in San Francisco.
Their sandwiches are basic, but, you know what? Sometimes basic sandwiches are the best thing there is. As you eat their sandwiches, you can almost almost feel the love and care they put into them.
Plus, they are CHEAP San Francisco.

Name a better butcher shop, I'll wait...
I have a very vague recipe and a memory of how to make braciole the owner came out and basically game me a ton of braciole hints and I left a nice cut to recreate old memory and tips to create new ones.

A butcher there sold spoiled fat to my husband. I encourage my husband to go back and return it. Another butcher accepted it, admitting that he was surprised that it was sold to him!
