I’ve been a long time customer of Golden Bay, and previously had great experiences, but had a lackluster experience on my latest move. A few points of feedback:1) I was supposed to get a returning customer discount ($50), but didn’t. I mentioned this at payment to the move team lead, and he dismissed it and told me to call the office (too much work when you’re moving!). He spoke English, but not super well, so the payment experience overall was a bit unclear!2) we paid $400 in packing supplies, which felt exorbitant given my past bills with Golden Bay. For ex, we were charged $45 or so for a “wardrobe box”, which we didn’t need or consent to. I would have purchased my own supplies ahead of time, had I known.3) we marked a few cabinets as DO NOT PACK, but 2/3 of the team didn’t speak any English and packed that anyways.4) it took longer than it needed to. For example, it took over an hour to pack up four monitors. In hindsight, we’d definitely have packed more ourselves to save time.5) our “move” was just packing a POD at our address, so we didn’t require any moving truck. At booking, I mentioned the small one-lane road we live on, suggesting they don’t bring a huge truck. They brought a GIANT and very tall truck, and then spent 15-20 minutes turning it around (all 3 movers involved). Fortunately, there was just enough space and they didn’t damage anything, but that added even more unnecessary time to the total.I’ve had a great experience moving with Golden Bay previously, but in this latest move, it felt like it took ~an hour longer than it should have, and I could’ve saved ~$300 by buying my own supplies.

I used this company for a local San Francisco same day move in April 2022. Their prices were reasonable and they did everything efficient and timely. The people who helped were careful and wrapped everything loaded and unloaded everything with no damage. I will use this company again for my next move. It was easy to book and pay all online.Update: used this company again for a move today 11/18 for in town move in San Francisco and they arrived within the window promised and took care of everything with no damage. Employees were quick and efficient and polite. I recommend this company for your move.

Absolutely top notch, from beginning to end. We had a lot of stuff to move, and to a house that had the hardwood floors just done and the stairs re-done. He and his crew did an absolutely amazing job of moving items and also protecting the floors and stairs!

Absolute Nightmare...Run from this company as fast as you can..Move from California to Tennessee Received Original Quote, Right in line with the Major Carriers I recieved. Within arriving and walking the house the quote went up 50%. After Packing the pickup trucks and sending them on their way the final quote Doubled. If Mo ( Muhammad ) shows up get your check book out... On pick up they were 8 Hours Late. In fact we had to call the pick up Foremen ( Mo ) and wake him up. After being 8 hours late. They were there until 11 at night loading up truck. The house was left in shambles. Delivery was an absolute Joke as well. The driver of the Big Rig confirmed that we only used half a truck 1900 Cu Ft ( Big Rig Cubic Feet is 4000 ) and was billed for 2500 Cubic Feet. $3,600.00 over charge just on the trucking. Numerous damaged and missing items. Never put any of the Beds or furniture together. Dropped and Ran. I mean we are missing a cushion from a couch. How do you do that ? The insurance claims are just as ridiculous. Who has receipts from 10-20 years ago on trivial items. All their equipment is rented from Hertz or Penske Truck rental. Their labor force was a bunch of Kids although very pleasant they were not professional movers. The only positive thing that came from this move was the actual Big Rig Driver who shared the most valuable info with me the fact that we only used 1900 Cubic Feet of his big rig. I will obviously be doing my best to report to BBB this gross overcharge on Golden Gate Relocations part. The missing and damaged items is on me for even using these people in the first place. But being ripped off gets my blood boiling. Buyer beware you've been notified. All these 4 to 5 star reviews have to be B/S or local apartment moves.

Golden Bay is simply the BEST. Rene and the guys were ten minutes early for our 8am move. The Guys had a really good attitude and were really professional. Thank you guys!

All my guys worked hard for the two days that it took to move us. We’re grateful for their hard work, kindness and attention to details. If we move again, which we hope not… I would hire them again.

Renee, the foreman did a great job. His crew Antonio, Sardor , and Faro all worked extremely hard on a long moving day. They were polite and accommodated each request that we made. The company should have had two trucks ready as we booked more than a month in advance. They eventually supplied the second truck. This slowed us down. The crew worked late and got it done. Solid workers. Excellent packers.

Golden Bay is yet the most efficient company I have worked with. The moving team was well coordinated, on time, and handled the furniture, accessories, and even some of our junk with special care in its packaging and handling. I would recommend this moving company to any person who cares for their furniture, wants good service, and wants an enjoyable experience in moving.

Rene and his team were very professional and hard working. We have been in our 4 bed 3 bath home for 13 years and they packed and pepped our home in a day. They were very thorough and friendly.
