There was more elevation gain in this course than an average hike. You end up hitting while your feet are about 6 inches lower or higher than your club. Not even the tee boxes are level. Oh and they don’t have grass on half the fairways so if you can’t hit it 200 yards off the tee then you should probably bring your own mat with you. The sand pits have dirt not sand. The greens are remarkably wacky. They claim that you should just be a better golfer if you want to enjoy this place, but I don’t think scratch golfers are pulling up here to luxuriate in the dust, maintenance men actively kicking up dust as you play and driving over your balls, and general ambience

This “course” was a disappointment. The fairways were in terrible shape, resembling anything but actual fairways. The rough was nothing more than patches of dirt, and the greens were badly beaten up.

Disc golf course was super fun. Well maintained, easy to follow using UDisc. Long open holes as to be expected on a Golf Course, but some technical pin positions thrown in.

Course was ok. Bartender was a complete jerk (not the journalist bartender; he was nice.). Was forced to pay for two caddies for “liability reasons” who were walking with us while there were toddlers with cards who didn’t pay. Good greens, bad boxes.

I got absolutely wrecked on the course. Probably the worst round I played in a while. But the starter was great to chat with before my 8am round. The bar is neat too! You get some nice views of the bay.Just remember that if you can't read the greens, the balls will roll towards the Cow Palace!

Just about the worst course I have played, all you need here is a driver, sand wedge and putter. Grass is nonexistent here.

Challenging golf course, but full of friendly staff and players. Great bar as well. Scenic views from various places.

Best bar in SF golf. Mike makes a nice perfect Manhattan. Greens are in tremendous shape. Not for the weak of heart.

It's a tough course yes, which I'm fine with, but after the heavy 2023 rains, the course and pathways are damaged and are exceptionally more difficult to get around as you climb through the course. The real reason for low rating is the poor management of the course. The seams of their operation shows with their use an offshore booking company for handling reservations when you call for a tee time. I called and booked a 12:50 reservation yesterday and made sure that that was the exact time. When I arrived with my elderly father, one of the gruff older staff member immediately yelled at us saying that we were 20 min late for our 12:30 reservation. His tone was unnecessarily confrontational and when we repeatedly told him the time that we booked he continued to scream, "Well, the computer says 12:30!"This atmosphere is unfortunate. They should examine every touchpoint with how they engage with their customers, and ultimately, evolve the business into an experience that maps to other modern courses.

Disrespectful to disc golfers. Your greens fees go towards maintenance of the traditional golf course, the disc golf side is mostly ignored. This is a top 5 most expensive disc golf course in the world. The golf is very good, but the experience and amenities are embarrassing for the price you pay. Ownership has made it clear they see disc golfers as second-rate at their establishment. For years Gleneagles said it can't lower its prices due to city rules on rates. A quick question to the city proved that wrong.

A great piece of land horribly mismanaged. The country's most expensive disc golf course, despite being barely maintained.

I’m from Indianapolis visiting my daughter who lives here locally. The green fees were steep and the clubs I rented were unsatisfactory for $20.00. The golf bag stand kept falling over during my round of golf and there was not an 8 iron in the rental set. A little pricy for which the golf course condition was in too!

Stunning course. The wind makes it extra fun in the afternoon.

I was looking to get in a quick game while on business without breaking the bank. This hidden gem did the trick to scratch the itch. The environment felt like a local course and the greens were tough but fair and well kept. I got paired with a couple locals and had a blast. I'd recommend to anyone who's a fan of the game of golf and not just what your handicap is. The Crew was extremely accommodating and welcoming. The bar was one of a kind.

I had a tee time for Oct. 7th @ 10 a.m., Gleneagles G.C., McLaren Park. I had to prepay for the reservation $140. I had to cancel due to foursome problems and I called in to cancel Oct. 6th @9:15'ish. "No refunds or rainchecks for any reason inside of 24 hours before your scheduled tee time. Thank you." Is the rule per Tom Hseigh, owner/operator. I received a confirmation of my cancellation dated 10/6 @ 9:21 a.m pursuant to the 24 hour cancellation rule.I was told my $140 will be returned within 3-5 business days. Today is the 8th business day from Oct. 6, the date of the cancellation. I called Gleneagles G.C. re my refund to my credit card and was told to contact Tom Hseigh, owner/operator and Gleneagle personnel onsite could not take care of refunds.THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS and poor business practice by Gleneagles. I wouldn't recommend booking tee times at Gleneagles for various reasons including poor business practice for refunds and course conditions. I was advised by a neighborof Gleneagle Golf Course, who recently played there, the course is a "goat pasture" and not taken care of and the rave reviews of the past of fast greens and difficult course, are just that, "past raves" no longer applicable The shoddy conditions reflect the equally shoddy business practices of Gleneagles; don't do business with them, you'll regret every minute of it.Long time amateur competitive golfer,Moweejim
