From Blah to BreathtakingMy condo used to be the poster child for bland. Think endless olive-green walls, no lighting, and enough personality to fill a thimble. Enter Holly of Georgina Rice & Co., and let's just say she didn't sprinkle fairy dust, but she sure knew how to wield a paintbrush and a light switch.The biggest transformation happened in the living area. Holly ditched the blah green for a curated palette of warm neutrals, accented by strategically placed recessed lighting and sleek sconces. The pièce de résistance, though, is the jaw-dropping Tiffany style chandelier over my dining table.But the real showstopper is in the bedroom. Sarah, a talented muralist, transformed the space into a secret garden. Think leafy greens and earthy browns and through the branches, the occasional flash of color from a curious squirrel, bird on a nest, or flitting butterfly. It's not your average floral mural; it's a touch of the wild, whispering its secrets on my walls.Waking up to this nature-inspired masterpiece is a daily dose of delight. It's not life-changing, but it adds a touch of personality and whimsy that was missing before. On a scale of 1 to interior design goddess, Holly gets a solid 9 out of 10. She's got an eye for both the practical and the poetic, and she knows how to make a space feel truly alive. If you're ready to ditch the blah and embrace the beautiful, Georgina Rice & Co. is your answer. A friend who had a gorgeous and serene apartment on Russian Hill recommended Georgina Rice and Co. to me a few years ago, when I complimented his space. As it turned out, Suresh Mirchand and Georgina Rice are terrifically talented and great to work with. Suresh is more of a modernist while Georgina is a bit more traditional. They make a great team. They understand that people have different budgets and can work with all sizes of decorating projects, from a single chair or shades to an entire house, furniture, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures etc. They can help clients understand proportion, have access to beautiful fabrics and can mix styles and sizes harmoniously. Their tastes are sophisticated and elegant, informed by their travel and experience. Their clients have access to furniture showrooms open only to design professionals so that each project will be unique. Their own workshop can make shades, curtains, pillows, bedcovers, and design and build individual pieces ( even sofas!). They believe that long term relationships with clients are important. Even long after the design job is finished, they are happy to answer questions and solve problems. They have helped me find repairmen when the dog chewed a sofa leg and when my brother decided to iron a shirt on the dining room table. I recommend this design firm with unlimited enthusiasm.

Georgina is amazing. Hands down, wonderful to work with to help design your home with elegance and style. She will work with your ideas, budget and any other constraints to get the job done. She has excellent contacts for specific jobs and is so well connected with key showrooms in the Bay Area. It has been an absolute pleasure for my husband and I to work with her and her team on our home over the past two years, and we look forward to working with her on other projects. I’m so glad I found her!

Over the three years that I renovated and refurnished my apartment, Georgina Rice and company provided invaluable support. From guiding me on paint colors, to finding the right furniture at the right prices, to knowing advice on art, Georgina excelled in every way. Georgina and her team introduced me to the concept of "flow" - repeating motifs and patterns in subtle ways between rooms -- for a truly unified home. Highly recommended!

Major letdown and as a repeat client. Parts of the order wrong, made decisions without consulting client and went ahead making product without approval. When product didn't work, wouldn't fix with proper product. Turnaround time was very slow and order was an afterthought. Client spent in the six figures. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.

After seeing one of the most lovely rooms I'd ever been in and learning that it had been done by Georgina Rice & Company, I hired them to help me choose the finishes and furniture for a new home we were building. I worked with Georgina, Suresh, Nanci and the staff for over 2 years, during which time I found them to be helpful, responsive, flexible and always full of great ideas and advice. They brought my ideas to life in a way that is both elegant and comfortable at the same time. The rooms are filled with beautiful fabrics, paint colors, furniture, rugs and accessories that are tasteful and reflective of my personal style. Their years of experience, knowledge and contacts in the design industry are invaluable to the design process. In my case, the end result is a house that is beautiful, inviting and thoughtfully decorated. We enjoy living in it and our guests are always overwhelmed by how wonderfully it turned out! Georgina and her staff provide true value with their excellent service. She has great vision for projects and can incorporate your vision into reality. I would strongly recommend her to anyone. Also, its a common misnomer that ID companies will make your place "theirs." She and I worked in a consulting relationship (she was my soundboard of sanity and helped source materials). It worked out great.
