This is the last classic maritime store in the Fisherman's Wharf area. While everywhere else seems to have become a t-shirt shop, Frank's Fisherman sells authentic nautical items. Like a cool museum inside with a vast number of exciting items to browse. Also, lots of books, antiques, high end clothing are on display. A must stop shopping experience for real sailors, or anyone who is interested in the sea going lifestyle.

Visited this store twice while vacationing in San Francisco. Quality merchandise and unique offerings. Not the typical tourist shop, like the ones that line the streets and seemingly stock the same items. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Have been to Franks Fisherman for years. Those folks are the best. Everyone in my family has clothing hanging in their closet from Frank’s. My home has several pieces of art, nautical antiques, unique items that my son has enjoyed since he was old enough to walk and he’s 24 now. An he still loves to stop in. Just a different shop than everything else in the fishermen wharf area. Well worth a stop when in San Francisco.

MUST VISIT if you're in San Francisco. Wow! Their authentic marine antiques from around the globe are stunning and memorable. Ken and Ron Brown (brothers and owners SINCE 1977), are a wealth of historical and scientific knowledge that bring the rare artifacts to life. Compasses, barometers, trunks, rope beckets, dive helmets, ship wheels, models and more. I walked around for almost an hour and continued to encounter new treasures. If you have a coastal-themed home, a nautical collection, or simply love rare finds, the authentic antiques here will blow your mind. Prices for antiques range dramatically from $100 to $10k+.There are loads of reasonably priced souvenirs, hats, and clothing as well. I was surprised to see their large collection of Kühl brand jackets. (I'm a hiker and love the quality and women's fit of Kühl.) If you need a quality jacket, because San Fran always tends to be cooler than expected, there's a great assortment for men and women. There's some fun Top Gun and marine coats as well.Overall, this store was my favorite stop on my recent visit to San Francisco. It's conveniently located along the water in Fisherman's Wharf across from In-n-Out Burger. I look forward to visiting again on my next trip!
