Super welcoming and relaxed place, I had to work hard but had fun the whole time. Feels like a great place to workout regularly. Good luck with the 1RM squats next week all!

Fantastic and welcoming gym regardless of whether you are just starting out, coming back after some time, or are an athlete with a ton of experience.

We purchased a pack of training sessions to for this facility at a school fundraiser. When we tried to contact fog city to redeem them multiple times, they didn’t respond to us. Save your money, go elsewhere.

Great place to get a good workout and feel a sense of community! The people are welcoming, coaches are knowledgeable and the facility is huge with equipment in great shape.

Beware. I’m a local teacher, live 2 blocks from this gym, and I started doing CrossFit during COVID here. I have old injuries in my shoulder and knee so I altered the motions a bit or only do what is comfortable for me. One day, after four months of happily training there, meeting people and making friends, I was told I could either “do exactly as the trainer said or not come.” No warning. No discussion. Also it is extraordinarily expensive for what is just a regular gym - $300+ per month - that is $3600 per year - think what you could do with that? Equinox is only $275.

Great gym. I have never historically been an athlete or in particularly great shape, and yet at FCCF I'm surrounded by a welcoming, diverse group of people who push me to get better and cheer me on.

FCCF is so welcoming and a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for great workouts, facilities, and community. The classes are well structured and the coaching staff is super knowledgeable. Scaling options and adjustments for injuries are always offered. These folks are so nice and make amazing training/accountability buddies. Moved out of SF recently and leaving this community will be one of the hardest changes.

A hidden gem. There's a real, actual community and "working class" feel to the place. Inside the gym everyone's the same and the fun and education of getting fit together takes precedence here. Highly highly recommend for both physical and mental well being.

My short time at Fog City (4 months) has made me the strongest I've ever been, and given me a sense of overcoming the inner "I can't". I can't thank these guys enough for the great gym they run, and how chill they are. They aren't super intense caricatures of CrossFit people. Coach Alex especially, who has been my coach most often, is such an incredible teacher and dude. He has a keen eye and makes sure that people are showing good form, and the gym is overall great about offering "scaling" options - basically stepping down the workout for wherever you're at. Learned a ton about form and feel much more confidence in myself around strength training. I felt and sometimes looked different after even just 1 class. I like to drink a protein shake either before or right after to minimize sore muscles. I never thought I'd become a CrossFit person - I just started going because it was 2 mins from my house - but here I am hooked! Thanks FCCF!

If you're looking for a welcoming community of folks to get in shape with and have some fun along the way, I can't recommend FCCF enough. Workouts are CrossFit style (think barbells, box jumps and rowing) and tough, but always scalable to various fitness levels. On Saturdays you'll see members' little kids and dogs hanging out after class as people socialize - this is more than a gym, it's a community.
