I used to go here a lot on my 15 minutes or 1 hour break from work to score me some snacks or a soda pop for years. Never had issues with them and we're very friendly. I wonder if that corgi dog is still around ??.

This liquor store is strange. It has random stuff. I get some drinks sometimes. I got a La Croix can and a bag of chips while waiting for the dentist.

Extremely nice people work here and are always helpful when I'm trying to find something. Open late, including Sundays!!! No other place nearby is open late on Sundays. Perfect stop for random drink/snack needs. Also, they seem to be more reasonably priced than another liquor store a few blocks up that I used to go to before I found Modera. With better prices, fresher products, and a friendlier staff, I'm going to Modera instead from now on! Plus the owners' dog is super cute and always waddles over to greet me :)

Great little corner store. Pretty good selection all around. Liquor selection is good, even for the little bottles. They're so cute! Candy selection is good. A bunch of different drinks in the cold cases. Really though, five stars for their patience with my dad. They don't rush him to make his purchase when I take him here. They're good people. And their little pup that barks at/hates me... is everything! I love him! Oh, and a couple people have won $25k from scratchers here. BUT ARE YOU WILLING TO TRY YOUR LUCK?!?!

We were lucky enough to call Modera liquor and wine our neighborhood convenience store for four years. The owners, John and Maria, obviously take a lot of pride in their business and everything is always clean, well stocked, and has a great selection. They are open early, close late, and are typically open on holidays. A great place to pick up a bottle of wine (they have a great selection), some snacks, or that last ingredient you forgot to include in your grocery shopping trip. John and Maria are such wonderful people. Even if we weren't stopping in to purchase something, they would always make it a point to wave to us as we passed by. They even gave us a gift for our wedding! They really take the time to engage with their customers and would regularly ask me if there was a specific brand of product that I would like for their next shipment. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owners!!

I was going to go three stars and close the book. It's a Geary Boulevard corner store. What else is there to know? Then the owner grabbed me by the shoulders, shook me firmly, and told me to snap out of it. I woke up, and I was lying on a pull-out bed in Larkspur. My hair was disheveled, one of the pillows was wedged beneath the door, and the alarm on my phone was playing a melody I had never heard before. I jumped up to shut up my phone, but when I tried to key in my code, it didn't work. I repeated and repeated and repeated, very slowly, but it didn't work. And then I realized that I didn't need to enter my code to turn off the alarm, so I woke up, for really reals this time. Modera Liquor & Wine is great. The owner is great, and he's only grabbed me by the shoulders in my dreams, which is a weird thought but which shouldn't in any way reflect poorly on him. It's really close to where I always park to use the San Francisco Federal Credit Union ATM, so I don't know how I've gone eleven years without ever patronizing it. Maybe I wasn't ready for all the fresh fruit or how wonderfully and magically clean the store is.

So many times I've come in here looking for something weird and the lady behind the counter asked me what I need. I tell her, and lo and behold she delivers. They have everything and they know where it is. Sometimes it's in the back but they'll Best convince store I've been to. They know so many of their customers by name it is a throwback to a romanticized America that I've never actually lived in. They know my brand of cigarettes, and probably the whole neighborhoods. This place is always clean. It looks more like a high end specialty store than a liquor store in the avenues. Just go to the other one down the block and compare the level of cleanliness. It's a different world. Also, Maria call pull one hell of an espresso

Lifesaver of a store here. Right on Geary Boulevard. Near everything. Great service. Really nice people. I am a repeat customer after only one visit. Really good!
