Incredible and captivating museum. We stayed for 4.5 hours and we would still be there if it wasn't closing time. We must have done barely 40%. If you have children, an essential visit!

It’s cool place but only a small portion of the exhibits were new comparing to las time we came.
Super hands on place makes it fun for kid. They allow you to eat anywhere inside too.
Bring hand sanitizer :)

Came right as the Exploratorium on a summer’s Thursday, and didn’t wait at all to get in. It filled up quickly, but not to an overwhelming degree!
As an adult (but kid at heart..!) I had a terrific time here. All of the exhibitions were also thrilling to the 3 legitimate children I was with. They had a blast, and we stayed for 3 hours.
We also had a surprisingly tasty lunch in the cafeteria (on the waterfront too!) with gluten free and dairy free options available.
Would definitely recommend!

Exploratorium exceeded our expectations. We've been reading reviews about the museum, but it was larger and more awesome than we anticipated. We alloted 3 hours for our visit, but we regret not coming in earlier. Almost all parts were interactive! We loved seeing each exhibit and we had fun trying out all the activities. We could've easily spent the 6 hours or more inside. Visiting on a weekday afternoon was a good choice. It wasn't crowded and we didn't have to wait. We also enjoyed the cafe outside the museum and their gift shop. We got some puzzles and games for our home.
Worth it for $40. We bought the tickets in the museum, but you can also buy in advance. Looking forward to visiting again during their after dark schedule!

The best thing at the Exploratorium is the one quality it doesn’t share with many other museums - you can touch just about everything! I love how interactive it is and there are so many different exhibits that everyone’s bound to find something they like. Go make some bubbles, or go play some snake with friends. Such a great way to spend an afternoon.

These kinds of museums are so enjoyable, and usually have something for everyone. When I visited last there was a HUGE toothpick marble maze of the entire city of San Francisco. I also saw those kinetic beach-walking creations that will just blow your mind. Definitely a must-go place. Check it out on adult nights!

This place is amazing, visited with a 2yo, a 6yo an 8yo and two 39 year olds and we all could have spent a lot longer than the three hours we spent there. Such incredible design and craftsmanship on display in all the exhibits. Each one was intuitive to use, allowing kids and adults alike to explore the fundamental and seemingly magical principles that govern the world around us.

I cannot express how much fun this place is. It is not a "children's museum" but a museum where you get to be children WITH your children. It is without a doubt the most fun and engaging museum I've ever been to in my whole life. It's art, science, technology, history, creativity, touch, play, create, listen, and see. ALL IN ONE PLACE. I triple dog dare even the most boring adult to go there and not interact with it and be amazed. I don't think there has ever been a single person that has gone to that museum and left feeling anything other than total joy.
