I don't like vibe think person in this local don't really have nice body... most the people don't really follow nice workout session. If you see someone with nice body for sure is a personal trainer. So the people need more focus and motivation and less phone outside. For me is very important check people around with nice cheap is a strong external motivation.. plus the music is another big important factor.

This club is so obnoxious. I am a member of Equinox all access (which means I can use most clubs) and asked if I could use the restroom. I was told unfortunately not unless I paid $45. I demanded to cancel my $300 monthly membership right there on the spot. They saved $45 but they lost $3,600 a year from a long time customer.

friendly staff and a good selection of classes. Place is clean and not too crowded. However it is not worth the price. you can save yourself the money.

Solid gym but absolutely absurd that they close at 6pm on weekends while charging $300+ a month

Nice, friendly staff. Good classes. Clean facilities. Very slow maintenance - repair team. Over 4 months to repair: - showers - swim gear spinners - drinking fountains

This is a beautiful luxury gym and it has all the equipment you will ever need. The staff tirelessly cleans everything and it is spotless. my honest review after being a member:5 stars: the space5 stars: cleanliness5 stars: location and upscale gym experience. A really nice place to hang out and spend a few hours each day.5 stars: trainers and staff.3.5 stars: signature classes are good but not great.Over all 3 stars: why?3 stars for hours of operation. Should be open until later on weekdays and weekends even with minimum staff. If 24 hr fitness can do it on $20 membership, these guys can too.3.5 stars for classes: the classes are good but they are all 45 minutes and they don’t have a good barbell class that compares to body pump or a boot camp. Having a solid boot camp would earn 1 additional star from me.2 stars: membership contract and ease of enrollment, but difficulty of cancellation if you have to do it under a year. This gym is extremely inflexible with any issues that come up with membership. Also, I found that their freeze policy is extremely unfriendly because they continue to bill you during the freeze period at full price. And then they extend after the one year mark. I hate that a lot of gyms have these types of predatory fine print policies where they don’t have any flexibility for their members. Just beware before signing up that it is difficult to change your mind or deal with if issues come up.3.5 stars: price/value considering hours and wide range of classes.Biggest improvements for 5 stars would be add a bootcamp for 1 hour.Extend hours of operation.Price is fine. It’s a luxury gym. I don’t mind the price if the experience is great.

When I last lived in San Francisco, this was Sports Club LA and was easily the best gym in SF, given its massive size, extensive classes, and several floors of equipment. Moving back, I was excited to see what Equinox had done with the property. I had spent a few months in Palo Alto and had been a member at that Equinox, easily a 5-star experience. How far this gym has fallen! Allegedly there was a remodel at some point, but it's falling into disrepair. The cafe is dead, the salon looks crappy, and I've never seen anyone go into the spa. The locker rooms are not well maintained, a bit dirty, and smell a bit off. Indeed, as I was walking around the gym, I thought that there was a smelly person in this particular location; I realized my next trip that it wasn't a single person, it was the horrendous stench from the sauna upstairs. Simply gross. Of course, there are advantages. The gym is simply massive, consisting of multiple floors, a basketball court, a huge swimming pool, plus tons of machines and free weights. The class list is also huge, with something for everyone. The biggest problem is the price. If this gym were cheaper, I might be able to tolerate the crappier parts. But at somewhere over $300 /month - which ONLY gives access to *this particular gym in SF* - is highway robbery. I've switched to the Equinox at the corner of Van Ness and Mission and I'm paying way less and the gym is much much much nicer. I'm really sad because this used to be the premiere gym downtown. C'mon Equinox: you can do better.

My wife and I have been members for the past 1.5 years. It is definitely on the pricy side but we really like the swimming pool, so have been happy with the experience overall.Typically seen in most gyms, Equinox's membership contract isn't entirely transparent. We faced extra challenges due to mid-year relocation. Luckily, when we returned, Matt Palomino helped us reestablish everything. Specifically, we ran into a couple issues after signing up, and Matt quickly took care of those for us after we reached out, even though he totally didn't need to. It could have been an experience leaving us with a sour taste, but Matt turned things around by going above and beyond.

I'm new to the membership, and it's a little early days, but I'm having a very positive experience so far! Effortlessly my favourite gym experience. It makes gym-going so easy, it has everything. Appreciate the intentional little touches from the eucalyptus towels, to the way the equipment are arranged. Yoga studios can be used as a meditation space. And lighting is flattering AF! There's very rarely a crowd, and the people that are there have A+ vibes. The staff have been kind, friendly, and polite. And as early as my interest-checking days, they made me feel like the business I bring matters. They constantly checked in on me through texts and emails, and not in an annoying way! Also, read some reviews that say the interiors feel pretentious. THAT's what I love -- the slight glam of it all! And if you ask me, it's actually not that luxe-looking. It could benefit from dialling it up more.Appreciate the shop and the spa too, though I don't use either that much. It feels like a tiny hotel that just happens to be a gym. Recommend people trying this out!
