The staff here is so nice, and they always remember me. Sadly, the last three times I've taken my clothes in, they've come back smelling so awful (mildewy/musty/just stinky) that I have to Febreeze them to death, hang them outside and they still smell awful. I'm so sad that I need to find another dry cleaner.

Avoid at all costs - clothes smell like mildew and have to be re-dry cleaned. Initially thought was because left dry cleaning waiting too long to be picked up but after 3rd time (and picked up on day ready) that was not the case - all my clothes smell so badly that I just dropped off at another cleaners.

I've gone here for work and personal items and each time they do a fantastic job with whatever I request! I brought in two jackets with slight mold on them and Shrina who works the front was polite, letting me know there is no guarantee that the mold would come out and I had to pay up front for the request. I let her know that I wouldn't be able to pick up the items for two weeks and which she said no problem. I picked them up as soon as I could and both jackets were removed of the mold! I could not be happier and it is always so pleasant to irking with the employees, like Shrina, at the Embarcadero Cleaners! I highly recommend their services for whatever you would need dry cleaned!

Came in with a busted seam and a pair of pants that needed ironing and they were able to take care of me and get me on my way in less than an hour!

I knew the place was going to be expensive but for the sake of convenience I gave it a go. My clothes were cleaned and pressed nicely as expected..... but the gawd awful smell of mildew/must off of them is so frightful I'm nauseated by the smell off of me today. That's after airing the pants for a week as I noticed the smell as soon as I got the clothes out of their bags a week ago. I won't be going back and am taking the rest of the batch I had done back over to Mulberry to be redone. Huge waste of $70 for me.

Shurina is a pleasure to work with. I had a broken button that she replaced in about two minutes. Great customer service!

This place says same day service so long as you bring it in before 12. This is not true.

Very helpful and kind cleaners! They helped me when I needed emergency tailoring for a fallen hem. I recommend Embarcadero Cleaners.

They don't do a good job in general. I had my shirts cleaned here, and the stains got even worse.

This place damaged my shirt, and claimed that it's not their responsibility to attend to every piece of clothing since they have hundreds of items to clean. The shirt has small details at the buttons with layers of coding, it's my favorite shirt. I have had it cleaned with other services before, and everything was fine. But this place completely wiped the codings out, leaving some really ugly marks. The lady said customers are responsible to tell them what to do with clothing items, and they can't attend to every item. I know nothing about handling clothes, so I guess I'm screwed. It's very hard to get refund out of this place, and I'm still trying.

***UPDATE: Management got involved and apologized for the mistake, reimbursed me for the pants, and offered me a 10% discount on all future dry cleaning. Happy to say they eventually handled the situation correctly, but it took a while to get there.*** Brought two pairs of brand new dress pants here to be hemmed-down (I needed them lengthened by about an inch). When I picked up the pants 5 days later they had been shortened by an inch. Naturally I brought them back in and made them aware of the mistake. At first Shrina claimed to remember taking the order, and said "I would have remembered if you said hem-down, you said hem-up." I mentioned that 1.) I'm 6'4" and have never asked for anything to be hemmed-up ever, and that 2.) I didn't think she was the one who took the order. She checked the system and realized she actually wasn't the one who took the order, and only then admitted they made a mistake (but you'll notice her first inclination was to just tell me I was wrong). I asked for a refund for the price of the hemming job and to be reimbursed for the pants ($180), but she insisted that the tailor could fix them. I was skeptical since they removed a fair amount of material on the pants, but eventually allowed her to send them back to the tailor (Peter) under the condition that he call me before doing anything further on the pants. I didn't receive a call for over a week, and when I went back into the store found that they went ahead and tried to reverse the hemming by stitching in some other random fabric. After a 15 minute conversation with the clerk there trying to explain how they made a second mistake, all she could offer me was that the manager (Shirina) would call me back in two days. Shirina did call me back two days later. I brought up the two mistakes they made, to which she said "I'm not going to argue the first mistake [of the hem-up instead of hem-down] even though my clerk feels you really did say hem-down, but I remember our second conversation [about the re-hemming] and I would have remembered if you asked to be called." Obviously their policy is 'the customer is always wrong.' Exceptionally terrible customer service. They keep hinting that they may be able to do store credit, but honestly at this point I just need to find a new drycleaner / tailor.

My boyfriend's favorite camel colored jacket was ruined by a different dry cleaners. A dark brown color bled all over the front and on one of the sleeves. We pretty much lost hope, but I decided to bring it here and there is no trace of it! The jacket looks brand new. He is so happy!

I have gone here for years. Occasionally there is an error like a spot or no starch. This last time as other times, the clerk was RUDE and aggressive. I looked at my coat and it was ruined. It is a black 3/4 length car coat and it was pressed so hard it had shiny white marks, was obviously burned AND THERE WAS STILL DIRT AROUND THE POCKET. I asked the clerk to back out my charge. She said she did not know how to (I call BS here) then get on the phone and called someone, maybe her boss. I left then decided in short order to go back and pick up my three articles because I had concluded that they ruined it before so why would I trust them anymore? Again, the clerk was yelling at me. The location is convenient to my office, but their work is awful and they NEVER ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY, NEVER. I have witnessed other customers complaining. The clerk kept yelling at me "I don't own the company, I just work here". I responded, "Well I don't own my company either, but if I treated customers the way you do I would be out of a job". NEVER, EVERY AGAIN WILL THEY GET MY MONEY. I am out a $400 coat now. Their loss is an estimated $600 a year from me. Shame on them for treating me so poorly AFTER they ruined my clothing.

Shrina went above and beyond customer service-- during my lunch hour, she pressed a dress for me to wear to a last-minute event, taking terrific care and attention. I highly recommend for convenience to financial district customers!

Got my item back - unironed. Said I'd have to pick it up in a day so they could send back to iron. Decided to give them another try. Needed a shirt puckering fixed. They called with the price and assurance the tailor could fix - great. I pick up and it's fixed improperly. They then charge me for the improper fix and she helps 2 other people while leaving me hanging. They ended up refunding. I will not be returning due to horrible customer service and dry cleaning/tailoring service.
