Exceptional experience visiting Dolby as they are a business partner. Note that you need a Dolby employee to grant you access. If you are lucky enough to have a Dolby contact and are into sound and video, it is worth the visit. Otherwise, the lobby before security alone is pretty cool to look at quickly if you are just walking by.

I had often wanted to visit this place, but not afteer urban alchemy was threatening me and my service dog with violence and the clerk sad he didn't want ME sitting there. So much for service to my country when you let thugs do what they want. I live right behind the place too!!!

The Dolby Theatre was amazing. The space was clean, the leather seats were comfortable, and it was an intimate setting. All seats in the house had a great view. It definitely felt like a fancy futuristic theatre. The sound system blew my mind. The preview of the sound and visual capabilities got me so excited and amped to see the advanced screening of "Wendy" in this theatre! The colors were true and the images were so clear. It felt more real than watching any 3D or 4D film. Friendly reminder: No Food or Drinks Allowed inside the theatre. The entrance lobby was minimalist and sleek. The walkway into the theater felt like a CGI art exhibit. It was beautiful and welcoming. I would love to come back for another show here if the opportunity arises.

It was a nice experience to have been invited for the preview or the film Wendy. The movie was delightful. I wasn't sure what to expect since it was my first visit and first to come to a private screening. As I walked in there was a check in right behind the person at the entrance was a large screen with the most dynamic scene of a planet as if there was lava coming through pockets and astroids flying around the atmosphere. The visual effects and the screen size was enormous. Some real strict protocols to enter the theatre, a bit too much in my opinion. People were required to empty there purses and leave there water bottles on the counter alongside the wall. I did not bring anything but after the long wait to get in I was super thirsty and asked if I could find water anywhere. I was advise my best bet would be to drink out of the bathroom sink. I was so thirsty I almost did that since I would be in the movie for another 1-2 hours. Unfortunately the water in the bathroom was on auto sensor which would only turn on for 1-2 seconds. Write turning off. And the water was warm. Anyhow I did survive the movie without getting any water. As I walked into the theatre it was mesmerizing I didn't know what I was walking into. The entire building was very modern and sound system was state of the art. Considering I was in the Dolby Center. The seats were very comfy and the quality of the movie and sound system was the best experience Ever. The movie was good great cinematography and story. The acting was amazing and I really enjoyed the movie. A bit of a tear jerky at times as well as exciting, adventurous, scenic, and captivating. The combination of the amazing theatre made the movie very enjoyable. After the movie the three chairs were set up in front of the movie and to my surprise the main character and the director is the movie walked right passed me to enjoy a discussion with the audience. It was so amazing nothing I have ever experience. What an honor! It was an absolute great evening and experience.

Fantastic theater. No food or drink allowed, but staff set up a table in the lobby to leave prohibited items during the show.
