I was excited when I found Creative Nails - it’s close to home, does dip, and has lots of options for colors (the latter two are huge problems in SF for some reason). The shop is large, well-taken care of and clean. Eventually, however, I stopped coming because only one tech (at least at that time - Hong), plus the owner were capable of doing dip, and I was *always* scheduled with Hong. The one or two times the owner did my nails was a pleasure. Hong is always rushing and rough - to the point where she broke one of my nails three times over a period of several months. She never accepted fault or apologized - instead, she would get annoyed when she broke the nail lol. Unreal. In addition to rushing and being careless, it was probably also easier to break them because of the poor removal and shaping techniques she uses - which weakens your nails. I moved here with strong, long natural nails (after years of dip with an excellent tech in another state) and my nails got progressively thinner and weaker due to Hong’s (lack of) technique. Eventually, I had to find a new salon. Overall, two stars for the owner (not her husband; he can make some really out of pocket comments) and the rest of the lovely staff, location, selection of dip powder, and maintenance of the salon - one of the nicest in SF. loss of the other three for failing to do the most basic thing, which is maintain healthy nails.

They lost a customer today, dude working there was super rude, and had no customer service, I was berated as soon as I walked in and everything I asked was shot down. Ended up with a super basic design and was out $180 with tip. So disappointed. The techs were great but rushed.

Today was my 2nd visit to this business and Lien was my nail tech. The first time my nails were done well by Kim, but the gel did start lifting a little bit in less than 2 weeks.
I made an appointment in person yesterday and did mention that the polish lifted from my last mani. The lady at the desk said that is the way it is with gel polish. Why I didn’t take that as a sign to not return I don’t know!
Today I came in with beautiful long and well shaped nails and just left with one of the worst gel manicures I have ever had. I literally want to cry.
The polish is too thick, the tips are bulbous and the edges are rough! When I told the nail tech I wasn’t happy she had the nerve to argue with me and tell me it’s the polish.
I paid and left, because I was so upset I just wanted to get out of there. I cannot believe I even tipped her $10. It should have been free it was so bad.
Several of my nails were tender from over filing. Avoid!

First time here and I went for a gel mani with removal. They didn’t remove my old gel completely and put the new gel over it and now it’s bumpy. I can feel the lumpiness when I rub my nails…I voiced my concern but the nail tech said that was just my nails. Unfortunately I’ve never encountered this before with having my nails done. You can see from the side how uneven the gel overlay is…I really wanted to love this place but I can’t justify paying $65 for gel polish with this end result :( super disappointed.

This is my regular nail spot. You can text for an appointment which is amazing. The vibe is no frills but the staff is quick and professional. My nails always look great and I can expect consistent results! Great for the location and price!

Not the best, not the worst dip manicure I've ever gotten. I was intrigued with Creative Nail Care because it is in such a convenient location and open relatively late on weekdays. I called to schedule an appointment for the following day, super easy. When I arrived to my appointment, the first things that I noticed were how clean the salon was and that they were prepared for my appointment. There have been so many times when I go to a nail salon and I'm still waiting 10-15 minutes to get in a chair, which is frustrating. I was offered a water bottle while I decided on a color. Second thing I noticed was the lack of dip colors they offered. I wanted a natural, skin tone color and had to settle for a light pink or tan beige. I got a basic dip manicure with dip removal, and one nail extension. The dip removal was an extra $15 charge (yikes). This manicure took a pretty long time, around 2 hours. I appreciate that the nail tech took her time and did a total of 4 dip coats but by the time she was almost done, she realized that my pinky was completely crooked. The tech did ask me if that was okay, which...not really...but I was literally almost done, so I just left it, that's on me. 2 or 3 days post manicure, the color started to crack, leaving the nails looking very unpleasant. It also seemed like the dip didn't settle on one nail, so the dip and my natural nail were not attached (I hope that makes sense). So that nail also broke less than a week later. I ended up getting another manicure 1.5 weeks later, which defeats my purpose of getting dip. My bill was over $90 and honestly, just not worth it. They do offer a punch card so you get the 11th service free, which is so cool! I have never see that at a salon before. I saw such rave reviews and great photos, maybe I'll give them another shot but based off this experience, I'm not rushing back.

I've gone here multiple times in the past year and had great experiences! I happened to go on a busy Saturday without an appointment and it was just sloppy. I told the check out lady it felt rushed and sloppy (I had to tell my nail tech there was nail polish on my finger tip). Sure enough, 4 days later I have chipping. Sadly I wont be going back again, simply because I gave constructive feedback that was pretty much ignored. I can't recommend this place to my friends anymore.

Tracy and Joy did a great job. I got Gel X extensions and a gel pedi. The quality and attention to detail...my nails have never looked better.

Very professional place! Bring cash to tip the workers.
I did not know what to expect but when I entered I was surprised on how big it is!
They have about 7 stations for the manicure, and about 8 chairs for the pedicure.
My manicurist was Tracy and she did amazing job removing the hard nail gel I had, and replaced it with another option for the hard nail (Orly Builder in the bottle). She also did the ombre effect on the base of nude with a sparkle at the tips. Now as the nail will grow out, it will not be that noticeable.
Manicure was $90 + $15 tip.
I will come back.

Best nail salon in the city! I've been coming here for 6+ years and couldn't be happier! From the aesthetics and comfort of the salon itself, to the top tier customer service, you can't go wrong giving this spot a try. They have endless colors and a keen eye for designs.

The owner overcharged me a few dollars by accident due to a misunderstanding, thinking I got manicure with nail polish when I did not do the nail polish, and she tried really hard to find my contact info again to give me a refund. Very honest business practice. I appreciated it.

I’m from Ukraine and the level of manicure I’m used to is reallyy hard to beat. But the quality at this place has been amazing - on the photo you can see regular gel I got there almost 1.5 months ago?
I’m so glad I found this spot and def recommend giving it a try

Great nail salon! My gel nails always last 3-4 weeks and remain in near-perfect condition. The staff is always very nice.
