Here are two reasons I love Closet 1951. Try them out and you'll find a reason every time, too. 1. I happened to run into my friends at Blue Light when I was running home from a jog on Chrissy. It was chilly and I needed something to throw on if I was going to stay for a spontaneous drink while my friend threw down a DJ set. I ran over and an amazing woman, Sasha, picked out something for me in a heartbeat - that happened to be on sale, too! I walked out of there warm and only $10 down. 2. When my friend asked if I wanted to be a +1 VIP to a super cool event happening in less than 48 hours, I headed in to see if they had something that would work for me, without spending a billion dollars. Sasha was there and helped find a ton of different options. She's a legit on site stylist. I definitely recommend Closet 1951. If you have top shelf taste, you'll be in the right place.

I seen this lady yelling at that Trans woman telling her that her "kind" aren't allowed in the store. That was completely out of line. I heard the yelling from across the street where I was eating.

I consigned a dress and some shoes with them 3 months ago. I have called repeatedly to check in. The most recent call a woman said she was with a client and would call right back. It’s been 3 days. I continue to call and they will not answer my calls. I have shopped here if you are a customers it’s great. But I will NEVER consign another item with this store. I advise the same.

Really nice place! I got basically a new luxury bag for a great deal. I normally don’t buy designer bags, but the lady working there told me about the company and convinced me to get it and I’m so happy! Also bought a super cute romper. Great place with very nice staff. Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by Closet 1951 on a leisurely Friday. The shop had a well-curated variety of items laid out in a cozy space so it was easy and enjoyable to shop. Didn't walk away with a purchase this time but it's a spot with changing inventory that's worth checking out regularly. Thanks again to Sasha who was very welcoming and gave great info on the items!

I love Closet 1951 and have mostly shopped through IG and phone. I have been able to see the pieces I have purchased on a model with full measurements provided. The measurements give me piece of mind so I know when the clothing I like will fit or may need slight alteration once I receive it. I shop with complete confidence. I look forward to an upcoming fall trip to SF where I plan to set up a shopping experience in the Closet prior to my trip. I'm currently carrying a wonderful vintage Dior bag that has become a daily favorite! Ilona always responds immediately when I send a direct message on IG. Thank you Ilona!

I've popped in several times over the last 6+ months after seeing the owner/store selling via IG with CovetByChristos. Not sure if she holds the good stuff for those live auctions, but each time I've stopped in the store it has been a v underwhelming experience. I'd skip the shop and try your luck via IG where they showcase luxury designer pieces.

Love this location! They have a beautiful selection of Designer bags and Jewelry by Chanel, Louis Vuitton and more. Take your time looking at every piece you will definitely find a steal in here! I come when I'm in the area and have been sending my friends to come shop here. Thank you!!

Just discovered this store today and to top it off I found a treasure there today too! Wonderful staff. Great collection. I will be making this store a regular stop everytime i am in SF from now on.

This place is a gem. Squeezed into small square footage on Union street, it's owner does a nice job of curating a good selection. Prices are moderate & the experience is fun. If you're into upscale consignment, this is a fun stop.
