They are very helpful here but the employees were outside cussing at some obviously mentally unhealthy people standing in line. Also I've called them 17 times in the past week and not once has anyone answered the phone...

The food is good and the people are nice but it's on 6th street so stay alert and it won't be a problem.

Come to the Hope Cafe on the fourth of every Saturday to serve food and love people in songs, words and prayers.Regular volunteers from Church of the Highlands and Westside Baptist Church are usually there.

I only had dinner there once, and it was decent: pasta that tasted like pizza! It's one of the few places that give out dinner in SF. During the time of this writing they just do simple take-out, no sit down. No questions asked. Simple 'n easy! :)You can usually get free coffee across the street too, even until dinner time.

I actually am "volunteering" once a week there and I am really enjoying it,(they provide:breakfast, dinner(hot meal)to homeless as well as clothing, accessories, toiletries, etc), especially at one time I also was on the other side, but I thank the Lord for saving me and now I also can use this time as an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who are "spiritually bankrupted" and hurting from abusing drugs and alcohol and other addictions(sins) give them "hope" and "encouragement",(God's Word?)that can only be found in God alone! I'm praying to make myself available for mornings as well. All the Glory to God and Christ Jesus our Savior,Lord and King?✝️☝?????

It feels so great to be able to help others. I recently discovered City Team SF when I was searching for NPOs to volunteer with. Many of the food banks are really popular and their times are booked really fast. I noticed City Team had almost all their slots still available the week of, so I created an account and went in this past Saturday. Kimbel is one of the guys who runs City Team SF and he's amazing! My volunteer hour was 9am - 11am, helping serve breakfast and packing to-go orders for those that wanted to take it with them. The work they do here is incredible, they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner M-Sat and they allow people to eat as much as they want. They also have a rack of clothes in the back for people to choose from. I think living in SF, we've seen how bad the homeless issue has become and certainly have our own share of opinions and feelings about it. However volunteering at City Team has really gave me a new perspective, just giving your time and being kind to others really makes a difference in their day. I will definitely come back again, this was a great place to volunteer at, great people I've met. Also, if you have clothes you no longer have use for, you can drop them off here!
