I am a self-employed individual and have banked at this branch for over 24+ years. This place feels like family to me, and all the tellers are excellent and skilled. The bank manager is very keen to assist, and she has helped me personally many times, as have all the other bankers and personal tellers. I am really surprised by some negative reviews and wonder about the people posting such lies about this branch. The personnel here have always gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to assist me. Parking used to be more difficult, no thanks to SFMTA and the constant construction on Taraval Street. Parking has now improved. This branch is small but that's exactly why I like banking here. It truly feels as if they personally care about me and my small business. I cannot imagine going to another branch as this one on 19th Avenue @ Taraval has everything one could want and more. I give a hearty thumbs-up to the entire staff and the bank manager. They are all stellar in my own experience. Multi-lingual staff, personable, and smart with their advice and caring attitude. Bravo to this Citibank branch! One cannot do better than this location!

I believe this Citibank branch should reconsider the allocation of its staff to better serve its customers. I find it perplexing why the branch hired the personnel they did, especially given my proximity to the branch and the convenience it offers. On the afternoon of November 12, 2023, at around 2:00 pm, my daughter and I visited the branch to open a CD account. This was necessitated by the fact that her existing account had reached its maturity, and we intended to transfer the funds and a check into a CD account while closing the old one. To our surprise, there were three staff members present, comprising two tellers and one banker. Notably, there were no other customers in the branch at that time. I approached the younger teller with some inquiries, and she was courteous and provided satisfactory answers. However, the older teller did not request any information from me and instead informed me that I should wait for another month because the bank's system was slow. To add to the disappointment, the banker with short hair remarked, "The bank doesn't earn money, you should retain your old account, and you cannot open a CD account." It became evident that they were not interested in assisting us, even though they were not occupied with other customers. Consequently, we had to take public transportation to the Citibank branch located in Stonestown. I must commend the staff at the Stonestown branch for their exceptional service. Both the teller and the banker were extremely helpful, with the young banker displaying remarkable friendliness and patience. They efficiently guided us through all the necessary procedures, and we left the branch highly satisfied with their service.

Yesterday, I finally opened my account. It was very rare. I could open my account. Surprisingly, the shop assistant told me that only one computer could open an account. Nothing else could open it. Today, all computers could open an account. She told me to open an account for at least 40 minutes. It was nearly ten minutes. The account was successfully opened. The money was saved. Thank the manager for paying attention to this matter. I know the reason why I couldn't open an account several times. The shop assistant didn't want me to open it

prompt, kind, patient, compassionate, thorough, thoughtful, consistent customer service from bankers and tellers. Bankers request that you set up an appointment and are always ready on time.

This location is a joke. Just do yourself a favor and make the trek to West Portal branch instead of this location. A few months ago I dropped in at 4 for help with my account. I was told they couldn't help me because "it's 4pm on a Friday". Today I dropped by to ask for some lunar new year envelopes and was grilled on whether or not I was a customer, asked for proof, and then asked for my PIN. Honestly at this point I felt unsafe in the bank. This branch doesn't care about customer service at all. They'll treat you like a delinquent and their attitude is truly baffling.

Awful customer service for Citi Rewards dept. called asking for my thank you rewards balance, rep with a Filipino accent couldn't access my account. He transferred me to another dept. and his associate was able to pull up the account. What happened to their automation? Now been put on hold for 15 minutes and the idiot couldn't do a task so simple. No wonder someone I know doesn't use her credit card as they always mess up her account for 250 extra points for setting up a bill payment, not worth raising her blood pressure! Man, unbelievable, bunch of untrained dummies working there!!! Where do they get these idiots??? Overseas I think.

CITI must be an acronym for Classically Intelligent Talented Individuals because that's the main experience I get while banking here. Irene was able to pay off my credit card (with my own money, of course LOL) in a seamless and timely fashion - top notch customer service. Fanny is a very professional, but once you get to know her she can be very to have a conversation with. Katherine is the manager of the branch and all the employees working here are a testament to her management style/capabilities. Everyone is practically trilingual, speaking English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Again I recommend this branch along with all Citibank locations. They're such a good bank for everyone!

I do not recommend coming here to this place. I'm surprised it's operational. Find another Citi location. When I walked in 4:25 p.m. this woman kept looking at her watch and said we are closing soon - that's a good 35 min. away. My issue wasn't resolved. I understood their limitations to looking into the account, that could have been said but was not rather essentially they said call customer service. There were several people who worked there, I was the only customer and they spoke on another language together (which I'm not against) but when you're the only one in the room that maybe doesn't understand then hearing several giggles later - I was very uncomfortable - extremely unprofessional.

Rude and disrespectful and seemed like teller was working by force

I had an awful experience at this Citibank location. Came in looking to do something on my account, and the teller was insanely rude for no reason. She gave us attitude and rude remarks when we asked any questions. I don't know if she was having a bad day or something, but she definitely needs customer service training. We left and went to another Citibank location where we received much better service.

This location is one of the worse for anything other than opening an account. The representatives are not really helpful and it seems more like they just sit there and talk than to get the job done

The worst experience ever because it took me 45 minutes to get cash because paully chan didn't help and went inside for 30 minutes. I will never visit that branch again in my life.

I don't understand why this branch exists here if they can't provide basic customer service for people in the community. I went in to open a bank account. They told me to come back in two weeks, even though there was only one other person in the bank and at least 4 staffers working there. Ridiculous. This is the second time this has happened to me in a completely empty Citibank. What are people being paid to do here if it isn't to help customers?
