Don’t help at all, give you a computer to figure it out on your own. Never had this lack of service at any other Schwab

I don't know why they even have a store front. I scheduled an appointment and went in to open an account and learn more about investment options. They sat me in a room by myself with a laptop to open the account myself... again I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT so it's not like they were busy (I also was the only client in there). Once I opened MY OWN ACCOUNT... I asked the rep to explain the difference between Bonds and CD's... she continued to say "one is a bond and one is a CD" then hands me a number for customer service... After going back and forth for a minute trying to get answers I expressed my frustration with the whole visit and the rep "helping" me Carolyn, continued to talk over me and not just acknowledge my frustration but state excuses for her lack of knowledge. I feel like closing my account after this interaction it was SOOOO OFF PUTTING!

Charles Schwab cheated me out of $4000 from my brokerage account. Here's how it happened. My debit charge was fraudulently charged at a local WalMart store with about 7 charges totaling almost $4000. They were large purchases and should have caused a red flag right from the start. I check my account every month and when I saw the fraudulent charges I immediately called Schwab fraud department. They were rude to me and treated me like I was trying to defraud them!!! I'll keep this short, but in the end Schwab charged my card the $4000 even though I did not make the charges. I reported the theft to the police department and gave the report to Schwab but they did not follow up with the police. Schwab stole $4000 from my account! They are thieves and liars! Do not invest with Schwab! Go elsewhere with your hard-earned money!

I came to inquire about transferring my niece's IRAs from an insurance company that had underwhelming performance with them for the last five years and was very satisfied with the high level of professionalism at this branch. From the moment I entered the spacious office I was greeted warmly and availed even assistance from a vice president Mr. Steven Chou Silver who was more than gracious and answered all the technical questions of the planned transfer to this office. These technical questions that even my CPA had to dig to answer was addressed fully to my satisfaction and they will soon have a new customer rest assured.

Been with this company for 3 years and I am now taking my money elsewhere. I have been reaching out for a month to this location and the location on California St. left voicemails to three different financial advisors and requested an appointment online. No contact back. Worst service!

BS from CS. Posted a request online to portfolio review at another branch, but heard nothing back from the second branch. I still believe that you are ranked by wealth at CS.

I've been a signature client since the 80'. My account manager only wants to sell me ETFs that I know nothing about, select an asset manager for me while I wanted to do more research. Even picks an attorney for me, only one name with no references. Seems that he's only interested in selling me services that has charges or that he gets a benefit . When I didn't go for his self interest advice, he started to ignore my emails and gives me no service. I needed help from him to help me with the Ira RMD, a time sensitive matter, he ignores my emails too. I'm moving my assets to a better financial service institution where staff are kinder and more respectful and responsible toward their clients needs.

I've done business with Charles Schwab since 1981 and I'm now forced to terminate my relationship with them. My problem with Charles Schwab is what they do with the cash in my stock account. Schwab puts the cash in the Charles Schwab bank. The result of this is customers get one tenth of the interest they would recieve if the cash was put in a moneymarket fund. I requested that my accounts cash be put in a moneymarket fund automatically as it was in the past. Schwab says it is a company decision to not do this moving foward. Obiviously the fiduciary responsibility Schwab should have for thier customers is totally absent due to the company's greed.Glass-spiegal repealed in the nineties would have stopped Schwab from buying a bank to rob thier customers with. I am tranferring my accounts out of Schwab and encourage all to not reward a company that pays them 10cents interest where they paid a dollar previously.
