A faultless one. Very good stay, the hotel is very clean, the bed is comfortable, really wonderful and luxurious pillows, spacious room with street view but well soundproofed. The service is very professional. Cleaning done every day, or not at your request. Very good location right next to a tram station leading to Powell Street metro station which connects to the airport. In the middle of Union Square with all its restaurants and shops (Nike etc.). Breakfast is available on the ground floor, coffee and tea with very good homemade cookies, free of charge and unlimited. This is completely sufficient.

We loved our stay so much, it was hard to leave. All the extras were fantastic, the staff made our stay so enjoyable. They're always smiling and very welcoming. The cleaning staff are amazing and the hotel and room were spotless. Super comfy beds too.Fantastic location and easy to walk around. The cable car stop is on this street too. I loved the view from the window and the old fashioned charm of the hotel.My daughter and I enjoyed the coffee station with soy milk and flavoured syrups. My Mum loved the help yourself cookies and popcorn in the foyer. Everything was perfect, thank you so much. Very happy nemories

All the modern trapping of contemporary living presented in a luxurious old world charm. The beautiful ambience is a welcome change from the sterile minimalist vibe that has saturated the hotel market. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable about the city center as to guide visitors looking for the best the city offers. An added bonus is the quaint bar for leisurely meetups or intimate cocktails.

This is a solid 3 star hotel which has more pros than cons. I’ll most likely will stay here again.Cons:- All pillows, pillow cases, bed sheets has a name of the hotel written with a black sharpie (see the photo attached). Makes it a little uncomfortable to put your face onto something someone draw name of the hotel on.- Mattress is long time due to be replaced, sink in.- No AC, fan only.Pros:-Location, it is truly in the middle of everything.- Free to use filtered water station in the lobby-Free coffee in the lobby with oversugared cookies- Popcorn in the lobby. Mon-Fri ONLY, no weekends.- Microwave in the lobby- Mini-fridge in the room- Somewhat renovated rooms

The beds are very soft and the room has no soundproofing, you hear all the noise from the street.

The friendliest hotel in America... .The lobby bellboy also has a family-like atmosphere. All staff are very friendly! The price is reasonable considering the location. Free water, apple, and coffee are provided in the lobby on the first floor, and free popcorn is provided during the day. Awesome~ The free apples are delicious!!!

Loved this place! A proper, classic San Francisco vibe with a lively lobby and bar, comfortable bed, quiet rooms, great staff and some nice little freebees. Will gladly stay here again on my next trip.

Hotel in a prime location. From here you can start exploring the city in all directions. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped, sufficiently large and clean. Coffee, tea, water, apples and cookies are always available at reception. A great service. There are small refrigerators in the rooms for self-catering. We'd love to come back.

Awesome place to stay in downtown San Francisco. Rooms are a little cramped (can't change that). No microwave or kettle in room. Otherwise it's ok.

1a location. Located near the cable car station. The room is big enough and the facilities are good. Staff friendly. Coffee, water and tea are available for you to tap every day. You can also take cookies. The ones with chocolate pieces are very tasty.
