This Yelp 5++ Star review has been deserved for a long time. We have used Celtic Movers & Storage for over 20 years now. Martin and his employees have moved our immediate family three times within the Bay Area. Additionally, Celtic has moved our adult children in and out of their respective apartments in SF. The Celtic employees have always been on time, respectful and the most hard working crew in our experiences. They have never complained always with a smile and "can do" attitude. Some of those apartments were three flights up with no elevator :)We will never use another moving company. Celtic has always provided us with a fair and competitive bid. We love supporting this family business and hope you will too.

Moving is NOT fun! We moved from our home of 25 years and the experience was not pleasant. However, both Noel and Marty of Celtic Moving made the task a bit more 'humane'. Their communication is exemplary and their crew is VERY professional. There is no need to shop any further when looking for movers!!!

Had such a wonderful experience working with Celtic Moving & Storage! My family had used them many years ago when we moved from our childhood home, and had such a great experience working with them. This past week was the first time I ever had to make a move on my own, and I was very unfamiliar with where to even start. During my intake call with Celtic, Marty walked me through the entire process thoroughly and made me feel so prepared. He asked me all great questions about the space, and we talked through all of the items I needed help moving. A few short days later, Marty and team - Juan Carlos, Charlie & Roger showed up for my moving day very promptly. They were the most amazing and professional team to work with! They were able to help me move everything in a timely and efficient way. I am also so appreciative of how they were always so careful and mindful with moving every item safely to the destination.I would highly recommend working with Celtic Moving for all of your moving needs. Thank you again Marty and team - Juan Carlos, Charlie & Roger for all of your help! I will never use another moving company but Celtic Moving & Storage for any of my future moves.

I highly recommend Celtic Moving & Storage! The team showed up on time, were very thoughtful on how they packed up our furniture, and asked plenty of good questions....lugging incredibly heavy book boxes up and down stairs! Nothing was broken and the move happened very efficiently. I would book them again in the future.

We had an amazing experience with Celtic moving in our move from California to Oregon. I was really nervous and stressed about the move, but from the moment Juan and Charlie showed up it was all easy and even-dare I say-fun? Our loading crew was Charlie, Juan, Guadalupe, Joe, and Jorge and they were fast, careful, professional, and super friendly! Juan and Charlie drove our gear to Oregon and unloaded everything. They even stopped along the way to give my plants fresh air to make sure that they did not die on the trip. Honestly everything about our moving experience was fantastic thank you to these guys. I highly recommend Celtic moving and in particular the great crew of guys that we had! Thank you so much!

We moved in early October from San Carlos to Roseville, CA. We had a great experience throughout, starting withMarty our first contact who always was calm and honest during a most stressful time. Noel who came out to make our estimate was excellent and clear. . We moved with 45 years of our treasures, furniture and garden things. On the first day of the move there was a crew with a very capable French supervisor and a crew of three. We had pre packed nearly everything so it went smoothly. On the second day the crew brought our trucks to Roseville. We especially liked Francisco and Guadalupe who have a marvelous work ethic and enjoyable personalities. We were very happy to give them orange juice donuts and a tip both days! Good work Celtic movers. Service promised and service delivered! The Young's

One star for showing up on time. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experience with the four stooges that moved me from one end of the block to the other.Careless, thoughtless, argumentative, disrespectful. Multiple pieces were damaged due to their absolute negligence. Please refer to pictures of all the damage they caused.Workers argued and yelled at each other. Absolute mayhem.They lied, and cut huge corners (not just into my Theodore Alexander buffet). Failed to wrap items. I heard yelling, then observed two of the workers shoving , my Harden sofa through the door UNWRAPPED (think elephant through a keyhole). See picture of the upholstery tear ($425 to repair) and scuff marks that this caused.The so-called lead had no dominion over the team members. He royally failed to direct the out-of-control workers.Damage: chipped marble-top table in multiple places, scratched gilded metal table base in multiple locations, chipped furniture, tore upholstery, scrapped paint off bed frame, broke piece off of antique screen, scratched my brand new bar cart AND discarded one of the mirrored shelves.BUT WAIT! There's more!!!I had a few items CLEARLY marked for haul-away. This was agreed upon during the pre-inspection/quote. By coincidence, a Recology truck was picking up from next-door, and the driver said go ahead and put the items in and he'd take them. Lucky right?NO! Instead of having me come down to DOUBLE-CHECK every item, the two idiots down with the truck just off-loaded what they THOUGHT were the correct items. Sounded great when the team lead proudly came back up and gave me the great news.At the new apartment, the guys were getting tired (because they refused to break for lunch) so instead of reading where to place boxes, the disrespectful, argumentative little guy (name starts with an "A") constantly interrupted me with "hey lady, where does this go." I was discussing a multitude of issues with the lead.In the end, I realized that they had discarded three custom glass shelves, and the heavy mirrored shelf from my new bar cart.The next week Marty and I met to go over all of the damage they caused. He thought he'd have an easy job of bullying me during his feeble attempts to deny that his men did an inexcusably poor job. In fact, his main concern was that his team wasn't getting along. THAT is what most upset poor Marty. NO concern over the damage.PLEASE save yourself the headache and use a different company: plenty of fine movers in SF.

We evaluated 3 insured full-service movers / storage companies to move our 3 Bedroom Victorian into a Home in Mill Valley and selected Celtic.TL:DR - Please patronize this company. Great folks. They operate with integrity. Did exactly what we wanted them to which was make our move easy... Entire process was pleasant and they came in below their quoted range. I've never seen that happen before.Details:Celtic was punctual, professional and fair / competitive when quoting us.We elected to have them pack for us which was a tremendous value add. On packing day, the crew was on time, professional and trustworthy. Nice people to have in our home. All of our items were ridiculously wrapped up to prevent chipping; boxes were labeled with enough detail so we could easily find things when unpacking and we discovered wonderful attention to detail like little tabs left on the tape to make it easy to rip of when unpacking. The move went off just like the rest of our experience: great. The team was there on time and they made fast work moving our things. All of the boxes made it into the correct rooms and the team took their time to help us experiment with furniture layouts.The icing on the cake with this company is that they came in below what they quoted us. They could have easily charged us the low end of the range they quoted - but they didn't. Serious integrity. Please patronize a business like this. Great folks. Serious integrity.Thank you, Celtic!

Celtic Moving recently moved my belongings to a new home in San Francisco. It wasn't easy; many stairs. AJ and Olivier were efficient, professional, and very accommodating to our needs. It was the most stress-free move I've ever had. We really appreciate everything they did.Highly recommend Celtic!

Marty and his crew were great! I requested a quote from Marty, and he quickly responded back with a quote detailing everything that would be charged, so there were no surprises at the end of the move!The crew came to my apartment on time, and moved quickly and carefully all of my belongings. They even made a second stop at another location for me to pick up more furniture to be moved into my new residence!I would definitely recommend Celtic moving company because they are honest and very customer service oriented.
