Nice service. My tires were low on air pressure so I used the machine to top up. Unfortunately the hose reel is stuck at the moment so you’ll only have about 4 ft of hose to work with. That being said, the attendant was very helpful and came out to make sure I was alright.

Today I went to the Castro Gas and Food Mart located at 376 Castro Street. Before giving the clerk cash for gas I counted it twice, one $20.00 and three $5.00 dollar bills and once in front of her. I was only able to pump $25.00 worth of gasoline. Right after I gave her my cash she locked the office door and was gone for over 10 minutes. Upon her return I was able to tell her that I gave her $35.00. She insisted that I gave her $25.00 dollars. Trying to prove her point, she took a $10.00 and three $5.00 from the cash register, said that's all she had in the cash register. We went back and forth then she finally made good and gave me the $10.00 bill. The person, who works in the Smog office apologized and said that the clerk had gone to the bathroom. She also said they will check the cameras. Make sure you get what you paid for.

4 stars for convenience, & the prices are always cheaper than the Chevron across the street. What surprised me is I've never noticed they have a self-serve car wash hidden in back. Also a plus is you can enter the station from Castro or Market street. Another star for providing soapy water & decent squeegee. Yes, it's a bit funky looking, but the place checks all the boxes- working pumps!

you can't beat the location. there aren't that many options left in the city for gas in general and this is one of the more central. Prices don't seem to gougey for SF. I was disappointed to see a payment required for the air/water check (and machine was "broken" or maybe they just weren't inviting trouble by exposing to me how they pay gated the free air/water). Not cool from a safety perspective.

One of the best gas stations in the Bay Area. In the grossly overpriced San Francisco gasoline market this gas station maintains very respectable East Bay gas prices.

I’ve given a 5 star review on Yelp previously (1 year ago) because they transformed an extremely dirty loaner car into a shiny and spotless wonder. This time I only came for a quick exterior wash on Thanksgiving morning. Yes, it was $25 (plus I tipped) but it’s a hand wash! Would you wash a car for $25? I know that I wouldn’t so people need to stop expecting others to do the jobs they wouldn’t do for peanuts. It was quick and a job well done. The only reason I downgraded a star was because when I arrived there was no one behind the desk and no one seemed to know where the cashier went. Eventually I was told that she had gone out for a coffee which is fair enough but maybe next time put a note and a contact number on the counter?

A bit sketch but convenient, don't be caught here too long. Prices are fair for inner city, little selection and no restrooms

I come here when I don't feel like going to the 'burbs to save money. Have been coming here semi regularly and the guys always do a good job. Friendly staff!! I get the basic wash for 45 bucks and am satisfied everytime.
